I just watched The Hotel New Hampshire. I knew nothing about it, but came away feeling that Wes Anderson liberally borrowed from it. It may have been the book more so than the film, but Google suggests I was correct. Who knew?
Yep, it's the opposite of what we have seen the past two Tours. This isn't a team that Visma would normally have, but they didn't have much choice. It has been a brutal year for them. No Sepp is a killer for stages like today's, but they are down multiple guys that would normally be there, and the ones there aren't in top form.
I'm doubtful that Vingo will pull back any time the rest of the way, but maybe he'll surprise.
I agree, but I don't think there were dependable water sources between the big lake and the extraction point. They were lucky to find one for that last night. Had they known it was there, they might have gone sooner.
I don't understand why they don't all make big floppy hats like Kaiela's.
I really expected there to me a caiman on the line on day 37. I've always suspected some production shenanigans when it comes to that sort of thing, but I didn't see anything questionable at the end. Perhaps with eight people left, they were content to let it play out, assuming at least one would make it to extraction.
I loved seeing Kaiela's summary where they reshowed pussy Cole predicting that her tap would soon follow his.
I have the commercial free tier of Peacock, and have to wait for the replay to enjoy it that way. Even then, Christian keeps sneaking in The Feed ads, the shit.
I do not think Vingo is sandbagging at all, and I will be surprised if he makes it to Nice. His comments during team introductions and in interviews are very telling. He's sincerely trying to temper expectations.
I was thinking more along the lines of restaurants owned by 2-time ToC winner and certified badass Manheet Chauhan, but you can spend your time there however you wish.
I remember watching it unfold. I don't remember if it was live or tape delay, but it felt live to me. That's the day I became a cycling fan and a cyclist.
The cast this season was full of James Beard nominees and chefs who have worked for some of the heaviest hitters in the industry, the same as always.
No one has claimed that this was the best season ever, but there was enough to like to keep me entertained. I have considered it must watch television since Season 1, and that has not changed. Expecting each season to equal or surpass the one prior is setting yourself up to be disappointed.
