Remember that all of the action in the House over the past two years was with Nancy Pelosi having 222 seats. Do you think for one second that Kevin McCarthy is going to be able to beat his rogues gallery into line if his majority is smaller? I think not.
There's also the matter of a fundamental difference between government and business. Once you boil away all the altruistic bullshit, the sole purpose of a business is to make money for the owners. Government doesn't do that.
There was an article that stated that at one point on Election Night, the offshore books had to post Biden as +300 or higher solely because so much money was coming in on Trump. And the head of the book basically said that if you got Biden at those prices, good for you.

The Tories' working majority is 365 of 650 as of this morning, so such a stunt would require 41 MPs to resign the whip. Given that such a maneuver would end in a general election and the Tories to be gutted, I have a hard time believing that they'll actually start the process. After all, the first priority of an elected MP is to stay elected.
If only we could get a visceral gutting of the GOP in real-time.
