  1. A little bit of a joke. The same defense that gave up: 21 to Pitt, the same Pitt that scored 6 on WV. 31 to Miami Ohio 35 to BYU ...and OU put 20 on these guys
  2. Kansas defended those very well. The rest of the field, not so much

Agree. Back especially in Herman's tenure, the games were almost unwatchable due to start stop, replay, ref bufoonery etc., to say nothing about whether the call was even correct.

A little bit, but it is more of looking at it from a "conference" point of view than a "This individual crew hates us" point if view. Not saying the Big12 is going to be reasonable, but it is on their best interest to call a fair game or even one that is biased toward Texas...this year. For whatever reason, the calls seem to be less egregious this year compared to this point last year.

In general yes, but when Texas has had the far better team, in the Cotton bowl, the games have been fairly called. Even in '08, where it would have been in the best interest of the conference to have OU win that game, I thought it was fairly called. Tech game, not so much.

I think Tex Pete is also referring to the officiating on the Texh game that year.

I gotta think the conference wants best possible rep for post season, and that is obviously Texas this year. If anything, the calls should go in Texas' favor. The only reason they wouldn't would be to avoid a blow out which would also minimize "star power" in CCG. So look for what appears to be a fairly called game.
  8. Dillon Gabriel looks like the love child of Shepard Smith and Liberace.
  9. Horngia?
  10. Maybe they just trot out the TCU defense from last year...that worked pretty well.
  11. Roses are red Violets are blue Eat a bag dicks you inbred land thieving sister fuckers.
  12. Wow Brett, I giess Texas will leapfrog FSU next week during their bye.
  13. Brent Venables leaked the orange juice futures report.
  14. I just want a good clean game with no injuries on either side with a solid display of All-American sportsmanship in a family friendly atmosphere.
  15. Mormon and Jewish...Does that mean he will have like eight Jewish mother in laws?
  16. ..and parvo shot too, just to be on the safe side.

It reflects a stall in the defensive improvement and us a troubling trend if it continues. Think of where the defense would be at the end of the season if we continue to give up an additional .3 points per week?

Well, our average points per game allowed did go up today. So we are slipping a bit.
  19. Doesn't Sark know it's after Labor Day? What's witht the all white get up? How gauche.
  20. Yeah nobody but us remembers the 65-13 thrashing we got due to aggy embarrassment. That and OU folding the CCG and BCS games.
  21. I'm seeing a lot of podcast guys picking KU to cover for some pretty dumb reasons as others have pointed out. For me the only reason this game might be close is the history of Texas under Sark to be up and down from one week to the next and we have seen that in all seasons thus far. It is not inconceivable that KU scores early on a defensive lapse, there is some offensive malaise, or Ewers throws an untimely pic(he is due with being lucky on some bad pases and some high deflections) etc. But in order to cover, I think KU needs almost all of the above to happen and even then Texas might still cover. Of course there is the possibility of a comfortable win with some garbage scoring to make things appear closer than it actually was. I'm really ready to see thus team just take off and start being on the money week in and week out. Let's get this one, and then it's on to OU sucks.
  22. More like Skip Clueless.
  23. Wasn't Daniel's playing last year? That didn't seem to be too much of a problem. Not sure I see a big concern here if nothing else has changed. I guess he was coming back off of an injury, but I thought he had been back for awhile before playing Texas last year.
