Austin and Hill Country will get nothing and like it Why is it when they predict big rains, we get nothing and when they give a %30 chance, we get torrential floods?

Beer 2023: Y’all still drink or nah?
I know this thread is for good beer, but has anyone noticed that the Lone Star is empty at HEB? I've checked the Bar W HEB and the HEB Plus in Leander. They've been out the past 2 weekends

I haven't had the Alstadt, but I highly recommend Real Ale's Oktoberfest. RIP Thirsty Planet, their Smittlefest was pretty damn good too.

What to do about a St Augustine lawns in Central TX?
Like said above water longer and less frequently If you have a sprinkler system, set them to run early in the morning, like 3-4ish I have bermuda, which is more draught tolerant then StA, but I run mine 1 day a week. Each zone 20 minutes, 6 zones. Then I run the cycle 3 times. 3:30, 5:30, 7:30. For the most part that prevents run off and 90% of my yard is surviving with out extra watering. I would think if you could do something like that twice a week your StA would be surviving.

Truck Nuts
My 18 F150 had gears 3, 7 and 8 slipping last year, took it to Riata because no one else could fit me in, took them 6 weeks to get parts and ended up with a new transmission

Pretty good storms forming out over the hill country, hopefully they will amount to some good run off.- 2022 Lawn and Landscape
put out premergent in October and end of February but this works pretty decent as a post emergent https://www.spectracide.com/products/weed-and-grass-killers/lawn-weed-killers/spectracide-weed-stop-for-lawns-plus-crabgrass-killer-concentrate-ready-to-spray.aspx You should be able to get it at Lowes or HD- 2023 Rain Thread

looking great. I would maybe take it down as low as you can to get the dead thatchy looking grass out, hit it with some of this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Lesco-LESCO-Dimension-Crabgrass-Preventer-30-0-5/5001213043, then let it grow up to where you want it- 2022 Lawn and Landscape
dillo dirt before it gets too hot if not wait til it warms up a little moreSt A loves heat, nitrogen and water- 2022 Lawn and Landscape
It will not be too late to scalp, but I would scalp and bag it now with your rotary mower. Then if you want to cut lower with the reel, it'll be less work. If you your yard is unlevel and scalping spots with the rotary, then the reel will scalp it too.- 2022 Lawn and Landscape
I would mow it pretty low and bag it to get rid of the rye and cut out all the dead grass. Hit it with some fertilizer specific to St Aug, then water it in well. After that, raise your mower back up to where ever you want it. St Aug likes to be tall so that helps. This is a pretty good guide on schedules of when to do what.
