This thread is a great reminder of why I typically don't come in the game threads.
Some of y'all are borderline regarded and have no business even commenting on baseball, much less providing commentary or coaching advice.
On to Saturday!
That game last night was over when Day didn't get enough of that ball to left.
That ball gets out, it's 6-4 and momentum shifts.
Regardless, the OU lineup is a fucking buzzsaw basically from top to bottom.
We have aggressive Mockingbirds in the hood. They dive-bomb me and the dogs on our morning walk.
Her nest must be near by and she'll follow us the length of the block making sure we "keep it moving"
I gotta say, man....this team is something else.
Not that anyone cares, but I've never been a women's sports guy. My wife doesn't like sports, we don't have kids (daughter) so it just really hasn't been a thing. Never really watched much, the occasional hoops game when Charli Collier was here...and even then it was 5 min while flipping around.
This team has captured my heart...along with my friends. If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would have text chain going with buddies about softball, I'd think you were fucking nuts.
I watched a little of the Washington series.
A little more of the Arkansas series.
Then full on fan for UCLA/AZ/OSU and will watch OU.
Getting to "know" these players by name and watching them play with such heart/grit has been fucking awesome.
Hook em!!
Finished it last night.
Maybe I missed something, but why was Nelson onto Ruth (and Rachel) before knowing she killed Javi?
I was ok with the ending, although what was said above about Ruth is true, it would've been a nice redemption story for her to go legit after getting her record expunged and telling Marty to beat it. But yeah, Cartels gonna cartel.
Oh well...onto the next one.
I fucking hate Argyle. Like a lot.
His voice, his accent, his fucking hair. He's getting way too much screen time.
The girl that plays Max is a pretty good little actress. Plus she's a Texan.
The scene with her running through the Upside Down, with Kate Bush's song playing was fantastic.
Yeah, it still gets worn on special occasions (I think)
I know DJ wore it once, maybe his last home game?
Breckyn Hager wore it 2x. Once in the Texas bowl a couple weeks after Tommy passed away and then again the next year for OU.
Not sure how/who unretires it for single game use. Del Conte make the call? The former player or family of the former player(deceased)
I honestly didn't remember 22 being retired. Oops, sorry Bobby.
