Now this is the kind of Flightaware stuff that nightshift can actually work with.....geez I should have worked the coaching searches into that quote...oh well.
"Promises were made!" "Not by me" "I've been with the "surly" for twenty-four years. I was here for Perrilloux. I've read recruitocosm. I've neutralized champions of slots. I've spent the past three years... reading fake Ketch tweets! Which would come in handy nowhere, and I've never been on OBs.... So I wanna know why Bobby...... we aren't all in!"
It's more matching styles of defensive coaching. Blake was hired to coach safeties under Will. The PK pivot worked, but was not as good as fit with coaching styles nad coverages.
Well ...its still his choice. He's probably getting paid more than 95% of the players that have ever worn burnt orange anyway...so....either the color green was more important or play time was. Again his choice.
Its all relative. If Parker was paid 100k and now wants 500k. That's a bigger ask than Wisner going from 650 to a million. But the reasoning is the same. More money or more playing time was more important.
As in he wanted a certain number and we weren't gonna pay it. This isn't new. CTJ has said repeatedly Texas puts a value on players and doesn't budget except in exceptional cases. Yall realize Livingstone had a 30% drop rate right? He'll he dropped a perfect one yesterday.
Parker is a redshirt freshman. If his catches were gonna drop next year or they didn't meet his NIL ask who knows. However, he could have sucked it up for a year and waited his turn as an upper classes if he wanted to. Obviously he didn't. Texas didn't throw him out the door. So yes, this is just like wisner leaving and should be viewed the same.
I'm gonna disagree. Wiesner has shown he can't hold up as the back over a college football season. Going somewhere else to be the feature back will only exacerbate that opinion. Staying and being in a rotation as 1B running back at Texas for 750k would have been a better bet for him.
Yeah because he is a head coach and head coaches are control freaks who want to deal with everything. He hires and fires the GM. Unlike in the pros where most GMs hire and fire the coach. Coaches want this control. You think Debore, or Kirby, or other coaches aren't talking on the phone with agents throwing out ridiculous asks for their client? Most NFL coaches would be doing it if their teams allowed them to.
He was 14th in the league behind 2 QBs in rushing yards is a start. Someone can post the advanced stats or whatever. De'Andre Moore was also considered a team leader and first guy in last guy out but you weren't having a fit about him. Oh yeah and he also had comparable yards receiving this year to Weisner rushing yards. The fact is, there are better and more durable backs out there for less money than Tre was asking. Tre should have jumped at the 750k from Texas, because I don't think he will find that out in the market for his services.
