  1. Strategic Popularity Reserves. Doubtful it works. From Trafigura this AM on Bloomberg or the myth of a million barrels a day from the SPR The logistics have never been tested to pump a million barrels a day from the SPR - max has been 500,000 day. The Jones Act requires goods shipped between U.S. ports to be transported on ships that are built, owned, and operated by United States citizens or permanent residents. Due to limited ships that qualify, few barrels will go to the US refiners. The re-configuration of shipping could increase the price of crude delivered to the US. You’re sending a signal to producers that by releasing the oil we’re bringing prices down and that’s going to dis-incentivize that investment that we need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I put on a bunch of hedges Fri afternoon, so probably over $100 by week’s end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hearing pipe is going to be in tight supply 2H this year, to the tune of “doesn’t matter if you have a rig lined up and a frac scheduled, if you can’t get intermediate none of it matters” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Username checks out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I fully expect to be doing a lot of traveling and/or have multiple properties with taxes to go with them. We have 4 kids, and the youngest will most likely be living with us for his entire life, so that increases many of our expenses by 50% at least. I think I’ll probably need $250k post tax income/year in “retirement.” My goal is to build as much passive income as possible over the next 10 years. I don’t ever see myself being fully retired, as I enjoy what I do too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Jesus Christ, I guess most of y’all never want to have fun once you’re done working? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Interesting chart from Doomberg. Explains how we’ve been able to keep production up despite the reduction in active rigs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Kind of digging my new pea shooter. 5 shot group from a .22 LR at 150 yards: It’s at least minute of shovel. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. Anyone have a ShotKam? I do a lot of bird hunting most years, and bought one for my annual pheasant hunt. Curious if anyone has any experience or videos they’d be willing to share. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Know them pretty well. Seem to be good guys, haven't had any luck with their horizontal efforts. Currently backed by Quantas (AUS airline) believe it or not. DM me if you want more info.
  13. So... now I have half an elk in the freezer. Lots of ground, lots of round steak, lots of backstrap and a little bit of tenderloin. Any go to recipes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hell no, I left that to the guide. He called a few of them to within 15 yards. And yes on the KUIU camo. I live in WTX, thought it'd be more useful than the other patterns.
  15. It was a guided hunt on private land enrolled in the Ranching for Wildlife program. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m still not in great shape, but probably hiked around 35 miles over 5 days. Don’t sell yourself short. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Actually bought a treadmill and have been busting my ass for the last year to go on the hunt. Still wasn’t in good enough shape. The guides wore me out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Outside of Steamboat. Im so glad I didn’t take the 5x5 on day one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. First elk hunt. Shot him after 5 days of hiking around Colorado. Awesome experience. Going to do a european mount and hang it over the outdoor fireplace. Now to find another freezer...

  21. I’ve been doing some macro analysis lately. My thoughts are that the US shale oil industry is broken and will be for the foreseeable future. In my opinion, the underlying decline curves on US shale oil are going to prohibit getting back to our 2019 US oil production rate within the next 5 years. Thoughts? Well, it’s been a year and a half since I updated this thread. Ben turned 3 yesterday! He started walking in April and is tearing around, which is totally awesome! He has been crushing his PT/OT/Speech and is really coming along. He’s doing great with his communication, and is starting to talk in a big way, I think partly due to being home with us for the last 3 months and hanging with his big brothers and sister. Things are changing really quickly and he’s figuring out new things daily. We’re so proud of this little guy, and wouldn’t change a thing. Happy to talk if anyone is going through something similar, just DM me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Doc, Any chance you can find someone to underwrite deferred premium puts? In my experience, there’s not much of a premium on the credit, and it significantly changes the math you lined out above. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
