Baylor has taken in some really good transfer o-linemen. Players that are effective. Somehow, in your convoluted & angry brain, you have twisted a football program improving its offensive line into what you think is a put down. Those Baylor transfer offensive linemen have more Big 12 conference titles than every Texas player combined for the last decade.
A road loss to Houston in a season where Sark needs to, somehow, get to 8 wins to save his job would be the special sauce on his shit sandwich of a coaching tenure at Texas.
His fanbase (which includes the people who should prosecute him) is overly patriotic Southerners. Facts mean nothing to these people. It is all about what feels right to them. They will nod their heads and say "Brett said he didn't know" and all of the evidence in the world that points the other way will be ignored.
I saw posted PFF o-line rankings and they were far from great (especially run blocking) but that may have been pre-OU. OU may be skewing the stats ...but....it is what it is. It is entirely possible this o-line gels and we run block well on the road and beat good teams. I really hope this happens. I certainly didn't expect to be having this conversation with this even being a possibility.
I was concerned that our o-line would stink and our team would stink and that we could lose multiple important freshman to transfer if we had another losing season. Even though our o-line as a whole is grading out poorly as expected, we are still performing better than expected as a team. Ewers is much better than I thought he would be at this point and some of the teams we have played are much worse than I expected. Still, I won't be completely free of those concerns until we beat a good (or better) team on the road and we get to 7 wins. If we win the next 2, I will be a believer.
