NBA 2021-2022
Would the Nets rather have Seth, Simmons, and that filler piece or Jarett fucking Allen, Caris fucking Levert, that other filler piece, and all their draft picks? Fucking imbeciles. If they just had those guys, Kyrie, and KD they've won a title.

Kyler Murray - The Savior or Satan of OU Football
Here's a possible butterfly effect: Kyler wins enough for Strong that he beats Kansas. Texas never hires Herman. LSU hires Herman. LSU never wins title, Burrow either does not go to LSU or does and they suck balls. Burrow does not win the Heisman, is not drafted by the Bengals, and the Bengals do not make the Super Bowl.

Just noticed Brandon Ingram looks to have put on about 25 pounds since getting to New Orleans. Unlike Zion that was probably good for him.

2021 - 2022 Dallas Mavericks: The Vibes are Immaculate
Mavs need to keep Brunson, jettison Hardaway, and pick up a stretch big that can contribute on defense. Bonus points if they can find a Derrick Jones Jr type guy with mad athleticism and reasonable defensive effort on a cheap deal. Montrezl Harrell would be a great pickup for the Mavs and should be their primary offseason target, imo. As for unrestricted free agent centers, as listed by Spotrac, Nurkic, Drummond, Tristan Thompson, and maybe Mitchell Robinson would be the "headliners". Looking at restricted free agents and guys with player options who might opt out, you've got Ayton, Mo Bamba, and the rapidly fading mirage of potential for Bol Bol. I don't really know why Spotrac lists Bol Bol as a center as I don't believe he's ever actually manned the 5 spot, but whatever. Valenciunas already signed an extension through 2024.

NBA 2021-2022
Ben Simmons has gotten a lot of shit, and rightfully so. I'm on record as saying I don't think his basketball skills are good enough to put up with his bitchassery. I do have to give him credit in one thing though. He has not popped off in the media about this shit. You never hear Embiid or Doc's names come out of his mouth.

Yeah that was entirely on Lue. He bet that Luka would not aggressively try to consume Zubac's soul, but he lost that bet. By a lot.

San Antonio Spurs 2021-22 Season Thread - Let's get this play-in shitshiw rolling
Forgot he was on an expiring contract. Which I guess was the point for Portland as they've entered the tank race. FWIW, I don't think the trade does anything of value for the Spurs. I guess they might turn Satoransky into something or just free up cap space next year by letting him walk, but they have a roster full of late-first and second round talent. The only way for them to advance the team is to move into top 10 talent. Not sure anything they've done gets them closer to that goal.

I get it's a business but fuck Utah for trading Ingles after he gets hurt like this. Not like the pieces they're getting are going to move the needle for their playoff run.

All these moves so far just feel like GMs mistaking movement for progress.

One late round first and two seconds for the Spurs best player? Are you high? I know you said some other players but they were all trash filler and not worth discussing.

Houston is not playing wall because they want to lose. The Lakers are benching Russ because they want to win. If they can swing it the Lakers should definitely make that deal.

NBA 2021-2022
Memphis has a championship core in place. Rather than rolling the dice on draft picks I'd like to see them focus on keeping Ja, Jaren Jackson, and Clarke together for the next 2-4 years. If I'm the Memphis GM I see if I can send #12 and filler to Portland for Dame. If he gets healthy and regains his scoring form you've got a guy that can lead the team when Ja is resting and keep heat off him when they play together. Doesn't do much for you on defense but if he is nothing more than a rich man's Lou Williams it could be enough to get this team to the next level.

All due respect to Dominique, but Ja truly deserves the Human Highlight Reel moniker. Dude is unreal.

People not caring about the Suns is not equivalent to underrating them. I mean, fuck Chris Paul and Devin Booker has a punchable face are about the only things I care to say about them. They're a great team and have a legit shot at the trophy. What else is there to say?
