I’ve posted this before and will post again (damn jamo). I’m taking my parents to the Willie Nelson/George Strait concert on April 30. My mom is 84 and her dream is to see George Strait live. Said it before (unsure); however, my parents saw Willie at the Armadillo in the 70s and according to them Willie told my Dad he was a lucky Yankee to be with such a fine Texan woman. Regardless, taking my mom and dad to this show will be one of the best experiences of my life.
Thanks for the recommendations. I’m saving bars where I’d like to stop in for a pint, if given a choice, in green (light blue are restaurants). I won’t hit them all; however, I’ll do my best.
Over the weekend, we booked a place in Islington. Time to start researching the neighborhood and mapping out the closest pub to each place we want to visit during the trip. Traveling with my wife, our two kids (daughter, 11 and son, 14), my SIL, her two girls (13 and 16) and my MIL will require frequent breaks.
He’s big as a solo artist with high school girl right now. A couple of months ago I stood in line all day for one of my nieces (she had a big test at school) so she could get close to the stage. I was there at 7:30 and was probably 200th or so in line. The girls in the front were there before 6. If the venue hadn’t been in downtown Oakland, I’m sure people would have camped out over night.
We just booked a trip for mid July. Looking forward to reading this thread more thoroughly and taking notes. I’m really excited because we had to cancel our 2020 trip.
I was unaware of a secret base; however, I just did a quick search:
“There’s a secret underground military base under Point Loma. The entrance tunnels are visible to the public from a road, but no readers knew which road.”

We’re in San Diego for a few days and the kids wanted to do some exploring. We chose the Point Loma Tide Pools. Amazing views of Coronado and San Diego above the pools. Highly recommend.
