What are you listening to right now?
Right now I am on track 2 of Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks. Simple Twist of Fate. Probably my favorite Dylan album. I’ll know for sure in about 35 minutes. Idiot Wind being the next track is a good start.

Did the Beatles know Music Theory?
Man I got chills during Get Back when it was just Lennon/McCartney in the shot on the roof top. Fucking chills watching two geniuses fill the screen.

Did the Beatles know Music Theory?
Ah. I was thinking more that’s a Get Back thread and this could be the general Beatles thread. I mean, really. Where are we going with this thread topic?

Did the Beatles know Music Theory?
Let’s talk about something else then. I’d like to hear more from you. And this topic seems like a dead end.

Subscribed. Not sure where this thread is going but it’s The Beatles.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
We should probably return to our regularly scheduled program at this point.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
Penny Lane - gotta give Paul his due. Greatest composer of catchy pop songs in history. I just tend to prefer his rougher side. This kind of stuff bores me a bit. Still. Great song. Baby You’re a Rich Man. All You Need is Love Both solid Beatles songs. That album is better than I thought. I’d give it a 7 on a Beatles only scale. 5 songs in I thought we were headed for a 3.

Fuuuuuck, I needed that. Walrus is a top 5 Beatles song for me. Hello Goodbye. Gotta admit I liked it more than I remembered. Also gotta admit it’s kind of like a hockey game. it was about one period too long. Strawberry Fields. Duh. Wonderful.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
Decided to keep it going and try Magical Mystery Tour. I’ve never listened to the album from start to finish. Off to a poor start. Love the title track. Always hated Fool on the Hill. Followed up by 3 horrible songs. Can’t lie. I’m skipping ahead a bit. Your Mother Should Know is everything I hate about Paul’s music. Yuck. Walrus is next, so a much needed respite is coming up next.

Had the house to myself so I put on my Let It Be T-shirt like a dork, went to the patio, smoked a bowl, and put on Let It Be. So fucking good.

Bachelor/Bachelorette/Paradise Catch-All
No. There was some decent drama at the beginning of Michelle's season due to multiple guys being stereotypical dickheads. Pretty much hit on every one of them this season. You had the White Night who acted like he was trying to protect Michelle. Spoiler - he was trying to make himself look good and everybody else look bad. More spoilers - it didn't work. You had the guy who had figured out after 3 days that he is the obvious only choice and the rest of these guys are the equivalent of gum on his shoe. What was different about this guy is all the guys (well, the black guys at least) really looked up to this guy. Like, REALLY looked up to him. He was giving these inspirational talks to them and he at least seemed like he was successful. At then in his ITMs, he is just shitting all over these guys who looked up to him. He had a rough time on MTA, but since he talks in circles without ever really saying anything, I think he still thinks he was in the right. Oh, and he invented a rumor that Michelle had a BF when she was on the show, told one or two guys about it, and then told Michelle everybody is talking about it and questioning her character. Literally, he was the only one talking about it. Here's a good one. They did a different thing this year where the the two hosts (Taysha and plastic surgery face) went into the guy's rooms, unannounced, and went through their shit. One guy had a notebook that you could only describe as a Bachelorette playbook. Phrases is there like "act like you're interested when she talks about teaching". It was insane. He had a pretty bad time on MTA as well. I think everything I mentioned happened in the first few episodes. And the first 45 minutes of MTA was pretty good because they spent it all dealing with those three asshats. And the big feud between pizza restaurant owner guy and random dude that didn't really make that big of an impression outside of this feud. It ended at MTA with pizza boy serving rando with papers for defamation. Had the process server there and everything. That sounds kind of silly, but rando unleashed the internet trolls on pizza boy's restaurant reviews, so it was kind of a dick move by rando. By the end, pizza boy was the bigger man and offered to bury the hatchet and rando accepted and they shook on it and shit. So really, all you need to watch the first 3-4 episodes (while jacking around on your phone or something) and look up anytime drama starts. You get all the good shit and you'll be ready for BIP. And to the poster who is going to come in here, even though they never watch the show, and give me shit for posting this much on this lame as show, fuck off. It's 2:30 on Friday afternoon and i need to pretend to work for one more hour. I just killed 20 minutes of it.

As an outside observer, the Herman and Diaz thing don't seem even remotely similar. At least, that's what most people outside College Stations and the Herman household think. If you think otherwise and want to convince us UT is as shitty as The U, we're listening. I probably wouldn't pull on thread too hard, just in case we're all wrong.

HG! We've gone 48 days since out last post on this thread! We were 12 days away from getting our man cards back and you ruined it for this?! Which, by the way, I read was fucking terrible. Not a shock, but sometimes they can turn chicken shit into chicken salad and surprise you. Apparently, this isn't one of those.

Both things can be true. He was awesome on the rooftop.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
He has to be talking about Paul and Get Back. That was so incredible it makes you start looking for an explanation of how that was even possible. One thing we know it's not due to: Yoko.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
It would be a fun idea to ponder. Except for that damn Yoko*. *Blatant pandering

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
It was interesting when George brought up releasing a solo album while the band was still together. I get his point. He had an avalanche of music and the guys would only let him trickle it out two songs at a time. I wish they had gone with George's idea. They could have all taken a break, released a solo album, and then got back together to release an occasional album and maybe more shows like the rooftop or even a full blown tour. Ah, what could have been.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Best scenes, scenarios
He’d make more money from a hit show than he’d pay in the settlement. I do love when she uses her sexy voice at inappropriate times.

The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
I get the love because it was ground breaking and different. I just don't have much desire to listen to it.

Can you remind me why he is saddled with her? I can't remember what the trade off was, but at this point, if it doesn't land Larry in prison, seems like he should just rip the bandage off.

Love Hard Romcom. I don’t care what you say about the rest of the movie, the 1930’s vs 2021 version of “Baby Its Cold Outside” was a masterclass in comedy writing in today’s climate.
