LIV tour discussion
Lots of things he could have done that some of the players leaving brought to him as what needed to change. Release shot footage to the players for their brand. Move Champions Tour age to 45. Appearance Fees where players/caddies don’t take a loss showing up Allow them to play LIV events but have to play a minimum PGA Tour schedule. Make the players play every event once every 3-4 years. That boosts fields on your weaker events. PGA U gets top 5 players in college a PGA Tour card, not Korn Ferry.

It's truly laughable how bad the PGA Commissioner screwed this up.

Still wish Stoops would have scored 100 that day.

2022 NBA Offseason Thread — Trades, Free Agency, Firings, Sacramento doing dumb things, etc
Might have fallen off the flat Earth he believes in.

2022 NBA Draft
Agree on small market teams. They have to hit if they make it high up in the lottery. Places like LA, Miami, NY, etc. can build teams through free agency. Not a lot of people lining up to play in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, OKC, San Antonio, Memphis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Orlando, or Charlotte. Can bring FAs in to those markets if you’ve hit on your high picks/contend.

2022 NBA Draft
Since 2000, 7 of 22 number two overall picks have made one all star game. Since 1990, 12 have made it. You can be a really really good player and not make all star teams. Especially in a small market since the team is voted on by the public.

Trivia/History thread
More like I’m an idiot. I meant to say 2. Hamilton easy one. Tim Raines last appeared like 9 days after Rickey retired. My apologies. I’ll do better.

Since Rickey Henderson retired with 1406 stolen bases, there have been 3 players that have reached half that many steals. Name them.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
Since I was in Oklahoma, I thought that I’d go to VY just to make my point hurt more. There’s lots of Big 12 QBs that have been better than Johnny. Colt, VY, Kyler, RG3, Baker, Bradford, and even Mahomes/Harrell were both great. The way he whipped his head around out of rage when I started off was amazing. So angry. So little brother. I had to look up what a Sip was. Lol. That’s ever more little brother. I can’t believe you have to put up with it 24/7 365.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
I was sitting in a bar in Oklahoma City. Minding my own business. Guy to the right of me was having an intense conversation with a buddy about Johnny Manziel being the best quarterback in college football history. I look over, he’s got his Aggie ring on. A&M polo. I have no dog in the fight, I went to a small college with no football. As I walked out, in passing, said “Johnny couldn’t hold Vince Young’s jock”. He gets furious and yells “get out of here you Sip!”. I reply “congrats on your upcoming 8-4” and walk out. So, I guess I was an honorary Texas fan yesterday. I don’t know how you deal with that cult all year round.

South Padre Island
I’m not saying it’s expensive. Just that it used to be stupid cheap for the quality of food

South Padre Island
I miss like 10 years ago when Dirty Al’s was dirt cheap for great food and cheap pitchers. Just a nice dive. Still great. Price just up about 200%

Their docs also bungled a trade for Tyson Chandler (thought he had a foot issue) for basically nothing in February 2009. Chandler went on to have great years with the Mavs, Suns, and Knicks after. He would have been the perfect 5 for that Russ, Harden, KD, Ibaka, ____ starting 5.

COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
Mine are mostly boring. Objecting to form every now and then. So doing them on Zoom is nice. If you are doing the questioning, I can see how you can get a better read on the witness being in person.

2022 NBA Draft
Thunder were never going to pick all three first rounders. Don't have the roster spots. Getting another first and serviceable big isn't bad at all. They can always buyout or trade Green. I assume there would be some takers.

Pro Wrestling
Ya. Adam Page is a mystery. He's clearly physically talented. He just gets put in with the Dark Order, then he was a drunk, then he became champion somehow. He puts on the same match every time. Only thing different would be the order the moves occur. The whole roster is just so small. Nobody feels like they could legit kick anyone's ass other than Miro and I guess Danielson. Don't get me started on Orange Cassidy. Also, Tony Khan is the biggest mark in history.

2021-22 PGA thread
They are about 20 players with some sort of name recognition away from it being watchable. I played college golf, watch golf, play golf, and follow golf and I could recognize 19 of the 48 player field by name. If they think that people are going to tune in to watch a battle between Richard Bland and Oliver Wilson (two of the 19 I recognized), they have lost their mind. Let alone two of the randoms. In their promo video today, they sneak dropped Bubba and Matt Wolff. So with Reed, Bryson, Wolff, and Bubba, thats 4 more. Still need a minimum 16.

Pro Wrestling
Moxley's mannerisms annoy the shit out of me. AEW has way way way too spot fests and stipulation matches. They aren't capitalizing on any of the WWE guys coming in other than Punk (who isn't really a WWE guy since he retired for 9 years) and Danielson who can wrestle and draw anywhere. Their women's division is unwatchable. Wardlow and MJF are about all that is worth watching of the homegrown people.

D-Day - 75th Anniversary
Grandfather was on Omaha beach. Enlisted at 17. He was one of 5 from his boat to the shore. Never talked about it until the last 5 years of his life and then it was all he would talk about. I'd give anything to listen to those stories again. When he died, we were cleaning out a storage locker, my grandmother had kept every letter my grandfather sent her and his mother from the war. Talk about humbling. I can't imagine the sacrifice. RIP Papa.
