The Worst Trade in NBA History: Luka traded for AD
I mean, that’s fair and there was much pride in having them here - I very much miss ‘The Town’ jerseys. As they became more successful the O got more corporate, and more expensive. I’ve yet to go to a game in the new place, hear it’s great but it is a different vibe. But none of that I think had a huge impact on the fan base (at least not the crazies I know!).

As one of the people in bold there, and surrounded by many more of them, nah.

Yeah. One of those things is not like the other. There’s been no appreciable dip in the Warriors fan base. Sure, the ‘move’ stung but mostly because the ticket prices went up so damn much. You can practically see the old arena from the new one across the Bay. It’s like relocating the Mavericks arena to Irving. But the A’s are dead to everybody I think. Way too much bad blood there. I think there will always be die hard Oakland Raider fans, but not the A’s.

Man that’s tough. You can chart so many of their influences into modern drummers. I don’t know what Moon was doing half the time (live). Maybe he didn’t either. I think he’s was trying to play the melody. I’ll admit early on not appreciating Bonham as much as I do now. Amazing combo of dexterity, flow and swing when he wanted to. Probably Bonbam.

Huge Police fan. Copeland is one of my favorite living drummers. Enjoyed quite a bit of Sting’s solo work, and his tour with Vinnie Colaiuta was great. He’s such an ass and I hate this neutered version of that music he’s been trotting out.

Eerily similar to an incident in 2013, same runway approach with another military helicopter.

CEO of UHG Shot and Killed in NYC - WTF is wrong with you New York
Given your verbiage, I'm not sure that we're capable of a rational conversation here. That said I will agree that when it comes to healthcare, and the pricing of drugs (and services) things get emotional and sticky quickly. But to think that you'd be able to treat 40m patients is a lark. That deal was approved in 2011. I can't find more recent numbers, but 6 years later that drug (PSI-7977, sofosbuvir) Gilead had treated 1.4 million patients. Assuming each paid $7-8k for the treatment (and all that money went back to the parent company), I'm not sure that's breaking even as the 11b is only the acquisition cost, not counting clinical trials, manufacturing, marketing, etc. I'm sure it continued to generate revenue, but there were certainly other compounds competing for that market share, including additional approaches within their own pipeline (based on the article). I do think there's a real question for many of these acquisitions - and this is absolutely not the only example - of simply paying too much or overvaluing the asset or the market. But I think it's also true that in many cases the goal is not necessarily to even get back the entire cost of the development for the drug, as much as it is for particular companies to try and build a franchise in a particular disease area. Gilead has certainly done so with Hep C, BMS with multiple myeloma, etc. This is also one of those drugs, given the cost, that really pulled in some questioning regarding public funding for the clinical trials which according to this article was around $60m. As much hand-wringing as the industry has done over the past year(s) in anticipation of the Inflation Reduction Act, and how it impacts drug pricing, it's clear that change had to start somewhere.

The citation was to provide the argument from the perspective of pharma. What you make of it is your own opinion. With regard to the Hep C drug, saying it 'cost more than like $350' - can you explain how you arrived at that valuation?
