Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Not so sure about that. Sark's issues were inside the 10 and we weren't kicking FG's from there. Without looking it up, Bert struggled from outside the red zone.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Doubt it. Dates don't match up, but i suppose its possible. According to this article, Fred was out of jail barely in October of 2010 when he found out he was to be a dad, making that kid now just 15. https://www.al.com/sports/2010/10/former_florida_state_top_prosp.html

For those wondering: An 80-grade tool in baseball scouting represents an elite skill, exceeding even a 70-grade tool, which is considered outstanding. The 20-80 scouting scale is used to evaluate player abilities, with 50 representing average and 80 representing the highest possible grade. Here's a breakdown: 80-Grade: Represents the highest possible grade, indicating a truly elite and exceptional tool. 70-Grade: A very high grade, indicating a standout skill well above average. 20-80 Scale: Used to evaluate player skills and tools, with 50 being average and grades above 50 indicating above-average ability. Example: An 80-grade fastball might reach 100 mph with excellent control, while a 70-grade fastball might reach 98 mph with good control.

Thank you for the update. Yeah, from the broadcast it looked cold but not crazy. Had CRaig Way on the radio before getting to a TV and sounded like Flores 1st inning warning track fly got held up a bit in the wind , but overall not too bad of an evening/weekend.

We need to tap the breaks on hamate bone tone break talk ...the poster upthread said speculatively "it could be a hamate..", absolutely nothing substantiated in the comment.

Everything is Shit: Tracking the Great Enshittening
Rookie mistake. Never ever check a bag if you can help it. Just my 2cents. I fly weekly and have so for 25 years. You lose a lot of flexibility when delays or standby comes in to play. If you voluntarily switch flights (in the case of most airlines) they are not obligated to get your bag on your "new" flight. Meeting ends early, you want to try and grab an earlier flight...your bag is not guaranteed to make it. Flight delayed, you want to grab a quick 1 way on a different carrier... you lose that flexibility as you dont have your bag on you. Not to mention all the other myriad of travel issues mentioned upthread. If you dont have your bag on you, that brings in all kind of issues. There are really good travel bags today vs 20 years ago where you arent pulling it so much as walking beside it.

Ukraine War
To your point, reminds me of a story years ago... I went on a business trip to Dallas, I was living in FL at the time. My parents lived in Dallas so i would stay at their place. My mom would do my laundry while i was home, just some spare workout clothes , undershirts etc...anyway when i got home and was unpacking my bag, there was a bra ( a large one) mixed in with my stuff. I showed my wife and we had a laugh about it. Called my mom and she swears it wasnt hers, even took a picture and sent it to her, nope not her size. Told my wife the story about it not being my mom's. Not sure if she was fucking with me or trying to stick it to my wife. No clue. Mrs Jdhorn never mentioned it again. CSB

Tariff wars, they have began
He's looking for a win, any win. If these countries capitulate the slightest bit, he will acquiesce and remove/lower tariffs. All he wants is a headline. On one hand he is using leverage to force countries to come to the table on something/anything...his comment 30-45 days ago was something like how many F-150s do you see in Munich. Im not saying we will start selling into their market, but all options are on the table (UKR, NATO spending etc...). On the other hand ( I hate that segment on CNBC) he is threading a needle here, as the consumer, while resilient the last 24 mos, may not be able to handle a reversal of the inflation trend. The Fed certainly won't cut if inflation spikes up and if tariffs prove inflationary, could be a disastrous year in the market. Which is why I don't think it will last long, this tariff game he's playing. He just wants to put it in someone's face that "we're back" or out maneuvered somebody. For market traders, they will do fine shorting it, playing options....for us long term buy and hold types, say goodbye to a 3rd year of 20%...going to have to ride it out.
