Hmm, not exactly sure of the context of this comment, but Ill try and help. Im no religions scholar. The Ten Commandment were given to Moses as he was leading his people (the Jews who were slaves at the time). Moses finally convinced the leader of Egypt to let him take his people back to the promise land. Lots of back and forth and agreeing to it and then backing up on it ensued, Moses was finally granted passage but then of course Pharoah changed his mind and the parting of the red sea etc...(which very simply could have been a tied change to all the people here calling bs on the Bible). Any who, the 10 C's were Old testament law to give the Jews some semblance of statehood, standards, guidelines etc... The New Testament revealed a new contract, a new covenant between God and man whereby mortals were waiting for King with sword and instead God sent a different King, one whose only weapon was love and grace. A set of laws were set in place with this new covenant, many with their genesis (no pun) in the 10Cs. That is my very weak attempt to help you understand.
"Many, hundreds, consequently millions" - Deion Sanders on 1310 the ticket. You know who else saw things? the 7-10 young girls in Salem and dozens of innocent people were hanged.
Booked Park City and Deer Valley for Mid-March. Looks like most of the mountain is open at PC and DV a little less so. Hoping for a big Feb snow dump. Dad-Daughter trip so just happy for any time with her on the mountain. She's already happy that she can use some of her sisters gear.
I remember on TOS wrt to Football you had "In the Stands" and "On the field" to choose from. Earlier this week someone posted about Longhorn Bob's recruiting newsletter. Id print the 5+ pages of intel on recycled paper and bring with me for reading material on a business trip. Good times.
Came across this graphic on X. This is the IU model; stack your starting lineup/roster with age maturity. Older, stronger well seasoned players, cut the mis-eval, guys wanting more $$ or mis-evals with vets. tOSU gained nearly 2 years (1 yr 6 mos) of age via this cycle.
TCU plays (ed) D1, or at least they did in the 90's. Lot my HS/Club teammates played their 88-92. Midwestern St (not P4) in Wichita Falls had a solid program in the day as well.
Back in the day the Dallas Morning news was the main recruiting source. You waited all January for the back page article. They had 3 lists: National , Regional and State. Our horns rarely had a National kid. Lovell pinkney was the 1st big one as I recall. Later it was all magazines. Prep Sports America was hosted by Chris Fowler and came on Saturday mornings. If you were lucky , your school would get mentioned as having a shot at big time HS recruit. Back then (80’s) it was notre dame , Miami , fsu getting all the big names. Later you could subscribe to a Fax. Basically a news letter once a day. Then in 98 or so AAS 360 Or something like that was the site we all used, but dial up made it super hard to navigate page to page as the pop ups killed the experience. Then horn fans came and the likes of HPSlugga, rpongett and billinsinton
Was thinking the same thing. The model is the IU and Tech way. Load up every year with 20+ RS JR and RS SR who are older, more mature and seasoned. IU starts 3 Sophomores and last i checked the whole rest of the starters are 3 and 4 year transfers. Schools will be hard pressed to hold on to any Freshman who play sparingly in back of an upperclassmen, they are now bolting 1-2X looking for a paycheck, hard to blame them. CFB is now firmly in the free agent free for all every year mode. History, blue blood, tradition etc.. have gone the way of the dohdoh bird, unfortunately. Every school will be re-recruiting/paying every year as attrition is the new name of the game.
The doc kills him when the subject of his short lived talk show come up. Its hella bad and the short clips of one or two of his opening monologues were terrible. Bad look for him.
No disrespect intended but get eff out of this thread with that shite. We just beat Michigan , Arch looked great (matched VY yards total vs UM), we displayed good depth and won despite losing our top 3 WR (Moore, Mose and Wingo) and we realized Livingstone may not be the guy.
The proper from response from our dear leader should have been: "stop complaining, you're at war, you want the alleged attacks on your residence to stop, issue a ceasefire and end the war. You are indiscriminately bombing civilian targets and you expect Kiev to temper itself?"
