I give the French a pass on their WWII performance, which is the general origin of this surrender mindset. They were out general'd by the Nazis and pulling out of Dunkirk was not their best day, but they deserve a tip of the cap for what they did for us in the Revolutionary War. Lafayette was a stud and we owe them a great debt of gratitude. Going bk to support the upstarts led to their own revolution. The French resistance in the European Theater was bold and courageous and should not be discounted once they were occupied.
Ill take a stab at the questions. Maybe she got hungry, its really not germane WHY she was boiling water; maybe she works nights and is getting ready for work. Agreed, its not relevant. She called the cops for a possible intruder investigation according to news reports. They asked for ID to make sure it's her home and she's not the intruder. No excuse to be aggressive here imo. Agreed, the door was right behind them, much better option was to back out of the house get the taser out and bring her to the ground assuming she pursues.
Agree with others, he will be found guilty. No excuse and one more horrible senseless act by a leo. Damn shame. He even dismisses the first aid the other officer started to retrieve.
we have a friend who has a son(10 or so) named Robert , goes by Rob. Every time he's over I feel like we should be talking out 401K's. Dont see too many 10 year olds these days named Rob.
Yep and what likely got him shot is he switched the gun to the other hand out of view of the driver, after he hits the door handle with it.....and then raises the right hand (the original gun hand) after switching the gun to the left hand and points his finger.....its at that moment he is forever muted.
Heading to Galleria area tomorrow from Dallas for a meeting Wed. Marriott West Loop has power, hoping i dont run into a bunch of bs trying to get around. How is that area?
Only thing i can think of is the snipers thought they had a great vantage point of it, between the two teams of two, i bet they felt like there is no way someone is getting on that roof without us seeing him.
They got lazy i think and all it took was a minute.
I like this guy, Burgum. First Republican in a long time who seems to have his chit together. Will be interesting if Trump selects him. I might could get behind a ticket with him on it, given the recent events surrounding Biden. Still dont like Trump on whole, but this guy seems like he's got it together. Apologies to the mods if this is wrong board.
Great show, an all-time fav of ours.
Getting a car company was/is huge business for an ad firm. Tons of content and media buys for any agency etc... The Jaguar story line was monumental for the series on so many levels (and then later the General Motors pitch). Besides Don sticking up Joan who whore'd herself out for the partnership, there was the Englishman's (forget his name) mis-fortune.
Up to that point Jag had a terrible reliability record. Fast forward to Sterling Cooper finally getting a car company and the coming demise of said Englishman. He tries to kill himself old school using the car's exhaust piped back into the car using a hose. he goes to ready himself for the big event and the car wont crank, classic.
Lived in Fountain Valley in the 70's-80's before my folks moved us to Dallas. Know that area well. My dad grew up surfing the cliffs just north of the Huntington Pier.
CSB...my dad used to take me and my two brothers and 3 cousins to the beach in our old chevy station wagon every Saturday for years. He'd bust off a 6 miler and tell us boys to not go near the water until he got back. My old man was in great shape back then. Appx 45 mins later he'd show back up. All 5 of us boys would already be leashed up and waiting for him to finish his "dip" in the ocean before he plopped down, cracked open his Lowenbrau, turned on Don Williams casette tape and we'd tear off into the ocean.....that map is the exact spot (about where the lifeguard hut tower icon).... spent a good part of my youth at that beach, hitting up Jacks and gawking at all the boards we couldnt afford, all the surf swag was the shit to us....we would get the surf mags and look for the ads offering a free sticker if we mailed them a SASE, those were the days man. Many years later I returned with my Dallas club soccer team for a tournament and my dad was the manager. He and I reveled in taking the team to all our spots.
