  2. Lat and Cajun know me. I’m a year ahead of them.
  3. This is exactly what I'm referring to - It's the loss of the towel snapping jocks with good but not great grades in HS - you know .... the ones who give extensively to the University for their entire lives.
  4. No - in reality we paid to have access to some top notch trim. Have you seen the GDI population on campus?
  5. It's just a function of numbers more than what you've indicated. Take my fraternity when I was there - Mostly guys from West Texas (Midland) with a smattering of HP, Memorial and Westlake. Not the richest / not the poorest - very middle class for the most part and not lilly white. Those schools with a history of putting guys into fraternities are sending their kids to Mississippi, OU, Arkansas, Alabama and not UT. Just an opinion.
  6. Top 10%, 9%, 8% or whatever it is today has killed the greek community. The primary big high schools like HP, Westlake, Memorial, Alamo Heights just don't send their kids to UT like they use to. I don't know how the fraternities are surviving really. We had 120 actives when I was at UT and almost every other fraternity had the same. I would guess 30% of the UT student population was greek in the 80's - I doubt it's 10% now.
  7. How do you like my old house....and I'm an idiot - the ATO's have our old house.
  8. Yes... yes they were... that and convenient rumble partners on 24th.

  13. So you’re saying I can’t have Sanders or Cain? And then depression set in.
  14. “I believe it is peace in our time” - Neville Chamberlain
  15. I don’t care about WRs. What I care about is defense, running the ball and a dual purpose QB. I want Cain pretty badly.
  16. “Fight, fight, fight for Washington State” - Tom Tuttle
  17. East Texas box face meets east Texas gator.
  18. Knew a guy named Lawrence Bourne III. He was a pretty spoiled rich kid who just graduated from Yale, Class of 1962 with about $28,000 in gambling debts. His father refused to pay Lawrence’s debt so Lawrence switched places with his college roommate Kent and jumped on a Peace Corps flight to Thailand to escape his creditors. There he was assigned to build a bridge for the local villagers with Washington State University graduate Tom Tuttle from Tacoma and the beautiful, down-to earth Beth Wexler. What they do not realize is that the bridge is coveted by the Central Intelligence Agency, a local communist force, and the powerful drug lord Chung Mee. Hilarity ensues. Hope this helps!
  19. Val Kilmer as the Dark Night
  20. There was a point in the mid 80’s when all three linebackers had fu man Chu mustaches. I think it was Hager, Brockman and Beckleman if memory serves.
