Christian had surgery in the summer and is why he didn't play in the fall, so seeing him win twice last weekend with a 12-2 record this spring is a good sign he can return to the form he had in his freshmen fall season
Matches against the two weakest Big 12 teams this weekend....can clinch the number one seed for the conference tournament and share of regular season title with the wins
Honestly these are the matches that I want to see us get through with no injuries. Maybe Wagland, Labrana, or Crovetti will see some court time?
Huge win by Marta! Gutsy play against a senior playing on Senior Day.
Don't want to look too far ahead but Texas is most likely going to host the first two rounds. Good chance that the committee will ship the Aggies and the Rice Owls (currently on the bubble) to Austin.
Yeah...I know Coach Johnson-Lynch got some flack for not granting Malloy a release when she transferred to Baylor from Iowa Sate. What kind of made the situation worse was when Coach Johnson-Lynch said she would have given Malloy a release but some kind of internal policy at ISU kept her from doing so.
Doubt it. It's a huge step up to play pro tennis week in and week out. Bianca would be the only one who can achieve some sustainable results right now and even then she sometimes doesn't make it out of the qualifying draws of the low level tournaments.
Some players that did turn pro (Di Lorenzo at Ohio State and Lewis at LSU) got huge government funding to do so.
Definitely some big wins here. If you look at the universal tennis ratings for each player, Bianca, Bojana, and Dani all had wins today against higher rated players meaning this team is elevating their play.
We'll get a better picture on Sunday. Almost impossible to make it to the final four without facing a SEC team. They're trying to get around ten teams in to the tournament.
Facing Florida, last season's champion. But they lost four players from that team-2 to graduation, 1 going pro, and another got kicked off the team in the middle of this year
