Stop beating a dead fucking horse. You've posted this shit like 100X in this tread already. JFC every time I come over to the football board it reminds me how much it sucks LOL.
I never made it to Floyd's Pelican bar during my Jamaica trips. It's a bar constructed out on a sand bar you had to take a boat out to south of Negril and close to where the eye is passing now. Had actually planned to finally visit on my 40th b-day when Covid hit and never made it back to Jamaica. Safe to say that place, along with damn near everything south of White house to Treaseure Bay area around the coast line now ceases to exist. I'm glad for Negril that it didn't move about 30 miles further west before the North turn as they are missing the worst of it, but horrible.
It seems like it's hitting in as good of place as it can from a development and population standpoint from what I know about the island. Obviously what is there is going to get wiped out and the east coast and Kingston going to get hit with storm surge on the dirty side of it.
I went to Negril probably 7 or 8 times in my 20's and early 30's. Doesn't seem like area ever fully recovered post-covid from what I've read (more crime, etc.) and this certainly won't help, but at least it doesn't look like the Western side will take the worst of it. Never been down to the south coast area where this will hit and it's not nearly as developed, but what is there about to get wiped out. Lots of good people there. Hate it for them.
Whit was definitely out that game. I'm sure they spied some and I wasn't on the game start to finish but I was surprised how often they played man with nobody on the QB and gave Pavia a ton of space to escape pocket. Pavia was their leading rusher that game but only managed 20 yards against Mizzou.
JFC dude. I fully appreciate TEXAS FANS would prefer we knew sooner rather than later that Sark was planning to leave for the NFL. I'm trying to explain to you that it doesn't fucking matter because the NFL makes hires on THEIR fucking timeline. At that is after the NFL season is over. Because, again, there is ZERO benefit in the NFL world to hiring early. Zero.
It is NIL + super conferences. There used to be a MASSIVE talent gap in the roster of a top 3 team vs a top 20 team vs. a top 50 team. Now that margin is significantly slimmer top to bottom. This is now the NFL with parity. The SEC is a perfect example this year. The bottom of the league is good enough to win a game against anyone if they play well and top team brings their C game (just like in the NFL). I think fans will adjust and have more realistic expectations once playoffs are expanded. I think it definitely needs to go to 16 because there are actually probably close to that many teams that could make a legitimate run if they got hot at the right time.
You keep saying or implying this like it's an actual possibility. It's like you have no fucking idea the NFL is completely different than college football with an annual calendar (draft, free agency, camps, etc.) that actually makes fucking sense. There is ZERO benefit to an NFL team hiring their next coach before the season is over.
As crazy as this season has been and as shitty as we've played at times, we are somehow 1 win away from a bye week and a chance to get rested and healthy with everything still on the table. Guys are going to have to dig deep with backup QB + 2 missing OL starters and D playing a ton of snaps in back to back weeks, but at least finally at home.
I don't know much about Vandy outside of Pavia and Stowers and haven't been able to watch them a ton. I watched a good chunk of the LSU game and saw LSU (without Weeks) play man with no spy on Pavia and get torched repeatedly. Did not see any of Mizzou game but looking at box score they clearly rectified that.
Since this is getting traction I'll just say what I heard pre reconciliation had zero to do with a player or anything related to the program or local to Austin for that matter.
I haven't heard anything about the baby thing. But I heard enough background through the grapevine after the initial divorce announcement to know my ass wouldn't have reconciled.
From our perspective, of course, if this is where it's heading WE would want to know sooner than later. My question is when has a new HC of an NFL team been announced before the end of the NFL season. I just can't think of any but I also don't follow the NFL that closely.
