Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
Man the $$$ that Texas and places like it have to throw around at athletes is going to make this new NIL landscape highly lopsided IMO in the long run!!!

Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
So this Texas team has 10 games remaining, which I don't think many will argue, make up the toughest portion of their schedule (hell I've seen some list it as the toughest finishing stretch in the country). But I'm a firm believer that challenges present opportunities. And there's definitely a bounty of opportunity left ahead of them to make some real attention grabbing noise nationally and boost their own confidence collectively. So 6 games against KU, Baylor & Tech left(3-3 prediction): Baylor's come down to earth (3-3 in their last 6). KU has a great record, but as Saturday kind of illuminated, they aren't a 'great' KU team by any stretch. Tech - well this is our new Bball rival. For all the reasons everyone already knows. These are going to be absolute WARs I think. Tough physical ball games. I just hope they don't take too much of the teams going forward!!! Remaining 4, i can see us going 3-1 in ( ISU, @ hOeU, TCU & @ WVU): Iowa St we owe a lil something. And think by the time we get to those others we'll be playing better ball and it'll show. I get the feeling that Beard is building towards something (or damn it i want to believe that he is). But there's been so many years where we've peaked at this point in the season. Only to see expectations grow while our play plateaued or even receded at times. I just think the growth here with this veteran squad is little more incremental and not as noticeable. But here's to hoping that Texas is playing its best ball of the year in 4/5 weeks rather than at the end of January!!!

We're fine. No need to panic here. Weather they're early energy and good shooting and wear their asses out come 2nd half!

Let's F'n go this one today baby! 3 -0 with hOeU coming to town this week would be a pretty sweet start to the Conference slate!!!

Remaining conf record 13-3. Like you said with 4 games vs KU/Baylor, would mean they split and get a win against one of them. Plus Conf Tourney wins, would put them at something like 27(28 w Tenn win)-5 with a resume of wins over potential ranked opponents (KU or Bay, 2 vs Iowa St, 2 vs Tech, and another possible vs Tenn). That's pretty solid, imo! 2/3 seed very likely

So is the game NOT televised tonight? Looks like it's only available on ESPN+

Texas vs West Virginia 11am on ESPNU
Physical/Visual issues aside...once the novelty wears off, how much will the opening of the new arena help with the in game atmosphere (or lack thereof)?

I mean from his perspective, he's probably not wrong. But some of that is on him and what he's bringing to the table. I wonder if you asked Bill Self, if he'd give the same answer though?

Texas vs West Virginia 11am on ESPNU
I'd be fine with his minutes getting cut and removing him from the rotation now that we're in conference. He's not a must play every night by any means. He should only play out of necessity (foul trouble and/or injury) from here on out!

So WVU is without their "best" player today supposedly. Question: If a headline read that Texas was without their best player, who would that player actually be?

Tells me whatever source put that report out is probably full of Sh!t and had no clue what they were talking about in regards to the Rockets specifically

Erased a 19 point deficit on the road...grittiest win of the season. EG, DJ, Sengun and a Nwaba siting coming thru down the stretch!

NBA 2021-2022
While I agree they're stale and boring, I'm not so sure that isn't exactly who they want to be! And honestly i don't tend to follow them just for the reasons you just laid out here...so where would you say their roster's deficient? They seem to be middle to upper middle of the pack in many team statistical categories. Just a middle of road kind of squad - sans rebounding. They're amongst the best in the league on the glass!

Does this impact the Murphy kid's commitment?

NBA 2021-2022
Indiana's getting swindled if they make either of those moves. GS would be set-up to have another 4/5 year like they had from 2016-19!
