18 guys and we limited everyone out. All the trucks looked like this. The birds outside Hondo last weekend were everywhere. I bet over 1000 were shot in the fields we were in and they kept coming. My shoulder is yellow and purple.
I went with 2 other guys in 2008. Flew into Managua, rented a car and got out of there. Managua at the time was the most 3rd world place I had ever been. Like wagons pulled by donkeys primitive. Rented a 4 wheel drive SUV because the road down to San Juan del Sur was washed out and generally shitty.
Beer was $2
Surf was great.
Caught a massive Rooster fish.
House was 3 bedroom with a pool for $350 a night.
Would go back. It's like Costa Rica's much cheaper cousin.
The real issue is the Denver airport. It is consistently in a state of general fuckery and the weather is not ideal for flying quite often. Get ready to hate it.
What I read was people previously happy with it were now getting stuck with bad contracts. I didn't bother to look further but $120 a year to stay low would be something that would interest me.
Last month was the highest power bill I have ever had.
Burnt Bean is still putting out the good shit. This morning the brisket was top tier. Also loved the street corn pudding. Some guys got there early and ordered for me so I didn’t get to try the barbacoa. Shame. Need to go back.
We get SWA companion as wife flies for business. It makes a difference. And SWA has delay issues like the rest but I agree with @Dbeasy on the rest of the SWA experience. Also they tend to forget to collect my drink tickets. Shit we flew SWA to Hawaii this summer and I didnt mind it.
When I fly solo I prefer United in case I want to move up front.
