  1. Randy Clark is someone you want leading the agency with funding. He runs a tight ship. If Austin screws up Prop A then we are so royally fucked.
  2. Team is just going to get progressively worse under Tillman until we're back to the lottery for another 5 year span.
  3. The trail of endless corruption that will come out starting after the election will keep the trash of this party out in the open for the next 2 years.
  4. So you think they should be spending more money on Prop A?
  5. New Campaign finance report out: http://www.austintexas.gov/edims/document.cfm?id=349328

Bingo Bango. It also sounds like Prop A would build a beefed up Orange Line station at N. Lamar and Crewsview as a major transfer point for the Red Line.
  7. Y'all should have voted for Christina. At least she stood for shit.
  8. New Renderings of the Blue Line at the airport if Prop A passes:

  12. You ever get the feeling that Jared is the rich one of the family and has the same power over Donald that all his other creditors seem to?

Vice did a pretty interesting deep dive into the huge dip in polling locations on Election Day. It's not as bad as it looks because some states have fewer locations but expanded mail in voting. Texas has 389 fewer voting locations in 2020 than it did in 2016 for a %6 drop and no expansion of mail in voting. Texas also put an end to mobile voting early locations that would be in a different spot every day to reach more areas of the county. https://www.vice.com/en/article/pkde7n/uncounted-the-voting-access-project
  14. Quite a few conservative pacs have popped up and one of them made her an ad. It's pretty annoying all the local journalists are ignoring all the shit from https://archive.vn/N7vOD
  15. I don't remember the contractor but it was overseen by CTRMA. That was a terrible project but I will say that they learned a lot about how to property track progress and their more recent and much bigger projects have improved a lot. 45 SW opened on time and on budget, 290/130 flyovers opened 6 months early and the 183 South project is just finishing up and they've done a really great job. Likewise, cap metro has also changed a lot under the leadership of Randy Clark. The dude runs a tight ship. I trust him. The corridor program for the City of Austin is completing a lot of smaller projects ahead of schedule as they get ready for the longer bigger improvement projects to start in the next few years. That's another example of good government work.
  16. Yet their two major capital projects in the last few years both finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
  17. Because a decent enough number of Fox News watchers are voting for Biden.
  18. The main reason for the tunnel is because it allows for the light rail to be extended in the future. Downtown Austin has smaller than average city blocks and doubling the trains would block 2 intersections. The tunnel allows the system to be extended at a future date. The point is you don't want to spend all this money and then have your capacity capped 10-15 years after it opens. The tunnel also improves performance by decreasing waits near lights and allowing the train to travel faster. You also don't cannibalize what is a major bus corridor so you aren't hurting the routes that go to the places the train doesn't.
  19. The Initial Investment includes 27 miles of rail service and 31 stations.
  20. Our plan is 7 billion. Light rail is a lot more expensive as our tunnels but yea I see your point the Amtrak estimate seems low.
  21. It would not take much to connect the proposed Blue Line light rail train to the high speed rail corridor already identified by Texas.
