  1. I take a weird pride in seeing my son get capped for UT with his decidedly average grades while seeing top 10% kids outright rejected. It makes no sense. Its not really fair. But here we are.
  2. .70" at the closest rain gauge. I'll gladly take it.
  3. Friend went to Cooper Mountain today - called me on a video call. Bluebird conditions. Said skiing was fine and at least you could see the sharks.
  4. Yup. I added myself assuming I did it correctly
  5. Yeah that makes sense, quantity wise. I've heard Montevideo is super Italian but have never been there. Always felt very comfortable and at home in BsAs, though
  6. Man that is a cool story @Patricio Swayze I don't know if this will make sense to anyone because I seem to be the only resident dago but I've always felt like there was some certain connection or understanding between Italians and Latin Americans, particularly Mexicans. Like I don't know. It's like Italians and Mexicans, we get each other. And then of course you run across lots of Venezuelans and Brazilians and of course Argentinians and Uruguayans who have strong Italian ties. I could listen to Argentine castellano all day.
  7. Damn how did I not see this. I'm in. Got some catching up to do.
  8. Capped although I'm surprised it wasn't a no.
  9. True or not? I don't know. But to me this is another reason why I feel less compelled to watch F1 and more compelled to direct my energy to MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. But yes, I will keep watching F1.
  10. Funny we were in Asheville this weekend. I was talking to a local and I made a comment about Asheville reminding me of PDX. He said, "yeah, sometimes I watch Portlandia and I'm like that is sooo familiar" Put down our deposit at WCU but it's non-binding because he is waffling based on his music school audition. TBD.
  11. So from 0 to ?
  12. Actually, if we're going to be accurate about Dallas... it sure as hell isn't HEB mayo
  13. Yup - and I remember seeing logs like that. Like WTF is going on here. But Trestle under current conditions looks like a great day to rend demos with insurance
  14. Blower powder, yo
  15. Every time I think of Dallas I think of this:
  16. This is the rock today at the top of the staircase bootpack... 😢 Uploading Attachment... ...its an ass-kicker but worth it. Looking down from the ledge under the rock... if you look carefully towards the middle of the picture you can see the traverse line and a tiny dot where a dude is just getting started up the bootpack. Uploading Attachment...
  17. Ugh. February 12th. East Wall at A-Basin should be looking closer to this... at least by March. Instead we've got this and I can't see how they catch up. Watch it DUMP in May.
