Brick an mortar business plan vs amazon: the convenience store mentality?
Completely agree, not to mention the dick heads you have to deal with at the brick and mortar. I try and support local businesses but refuse to put up with shitty service at a higher price.

Prairie dog hunting
We used to do it a bunch when I was younger. You need a few different places to hunt, the dogs get educated to the shooting and go down their hole and won’t come out. It’s nice to move to a different location and let the hunted place cool off. Take multiple rifles as well, barrels will heat up quick, and a barrel cleaning kit. If you have a spotting scope it helps, it’s easier to find em once the shooting starts.

Griddle me this Batman
Would be nice if those manufacturers would put leveling screws on the corners. It wouldn’t cost $5 and would make a huge difference on draining grease or keeping it where it’s needed.

Door Dash and Uber Eats (and others) lead to "ghost kitchens"
Yeah that whole social media thing can be an ass whippin. We always tried to take the high road and invite them back with some sort of freebie. But then you had to worry about starting a rush on “slams” so they could get a freebie too.

Health food stores should have it, like mentioned above check the refrigerated section.

The Gun Owner’s thread
That thing will take three days to clear the holster, I would get a snubby something or other.

Door Dash and Uber Eats (and others) lead to "ghost kitchens"
Completely agree ^^^^^ on all of that. We would often comp an app and soft drink to the driver while we made a new order to go out.

Best Burger in Texas (and each state)
I know I’m gonna get slammed here and if so that’s fine but bacon never improves a hamburger.

Griddle me this Batman
Be sure and season it per Blackstone instructions, this method seems to get the entire surface seasoned equally. I have read on other forums where the poster cooked a shit ton of bacon and called it good, not sure that’s the best system.

Door Dash and Uber Eats (and others) lead to "ghost kitchens"
When we still had our burger joint we had to quit the delivery game. The drivers would always show up late, we would have to remake the order so it would be as hot as possible. Not to mention how many stops the driver would make after he left our place. To many chances to drop the ball and have a customer slam you on social media.

2019-2020 Surly Winter Weather Thread
I’m North and East of Hereford and all the feedyards that produce all the fecal dust and aroma. The prevailing SW winds that blow 90% of the time are the winds that bring the joy. Smells like money to me.

Buck's Barbeque Co.
Restaurant business is a crap shoot even under the best of conditions. Throw in a little adversity and it can get to be very tough sledding. We bought a burger joint as a side hustle hoping to make some money and have some fun. We had great reviews and a good following and it was still hard to make it profitable. Employee issues, theft, equipment maintenance and or repairs and slow periods just knock the living shit out of you. We sold it back in October and it has been a blessing for us to be out of that rat race. We had a full bar with 24 tap handles, no telling how much free booze we poured.

Fixing crack in bathroom sink
Looks like an undermount sink, should be fairly easy fix even if both bowls need to be replaced. The sink is more than likely just glued to the granite. They can just separate the sink from underneath the granite and replace.
