Cowboys v Giants, MNF
You know, the Cowboys are supposedly at a disadvantage playing without Dak, but at least we aren't playing with Daniel Jones.

Roadkill vs trampling longhorns LHN 7 PM
You know one thing these refs don’t think is against the rules? Holding the edge rushers. That’s just fine.

He tackled the quarterback too hard. You can’t tackle the quarterback too hard.

That is some real bullshit right there.

The Gun Owner’s thread
Excellent point. I almost recommended a Mossberg as an alternative. I have an 870 Wingmaster that was made in 1973 that I bought in a pawn shop and an Express that was made in 2010 that I won in a raffle. You can guess which one is better quality.

Dallas Cowboys 2022 Regular Season Thread: Fuck Jerry Jones
He always wins a few games early wherever he ends up. Eventually flames out, but I agree. Would be fun. And definitely a veteran leader. (Go Harvard)

Dallas Cowboys 2022 Regular Season Thread: Fuck Jerry Jones
I was pretty much in shock when I heard they were getting rid of Cooper, but I figured they at least had a plan to replace him. And then they let Cedric Wilson go. Then we finished training camp and I was like... seriously? Good WR's are a dime a dozen in the NFL nowadays and yet we only have one. Gallup as #2 MIGHT have been a good plan, but he's coming off a freaking ACL injury and you never know how those work out. I don't typically get onto GM / Player Personnel moves like a lot of other people do, but in this case I can see their point. It was gross malpractice to let Cooper go while we were still under the weight of Zeke's bloated contract and unable to sign another big WR. And now Dak's hurt. Gonna be a long season boys.

Dallas Cowboys 2022 Regular Season Thread: Fuck Jerry Jones
Meh, they are good every other year and they had a good season last year, so my hopes weren't too high to begin with given the lack of offensive firepower. Romo was hurt in 2015, Dak was hurt in 2020 and now again in 2022. 14 months from now we'll all be like, "DEM BOYS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!" You can't be disappointed if you never get excited in the first place. Based on the pattern, I'm thinking 4-13 or 5-12 is going to be about right this year. Then next year we will draft a couple of young offensive players who will have a really good season and that will be difference.... right? RIGHT?

Texas #20 Coaches Poll
Ahead of aggy in both polls. Who says there is no justice?

The Gun Owner’s thread
You might be able to find a 12ga 1100 at the upper end of your price range, too, or just beyond it. But if you just want a workhorse "hunting gun" then the recs for an 870 is probably the best idea for that price. I personally have just grown to hate (and often forget) to pump the gun, so I'm inclined towards automatics, which aren't a problem in wet conditions provided you clean them soon after.

aggy vs App State - ESPN2
Nope. They beat Bama last year. Haven’t you heard?

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Worst part is how the press will slob Bama's knob hard that they "did what they needed to do" when in reality they got really really lucky. I hate moral victories, but this was waaaaaaay better than I was expecting.

That's a momentum changer. LFG!

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
No doubt in my mind that missing Ewers was the difference.
-
Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Looking at some other sites, it sounds like Ewers is going to be OK going forward and Sark is just being cautious as he'd rather have to play Card in just 1-2 games and not 10. Can't blame him, TBH.

Missed FG is huge now. I admit it.
