Guys on the Horn postgame show mentioned Jones celebrating too. I was kind of confused on the first run for 4 yards when he got up and flexed. When he did it after a 7 yard run, I wanted him off the field. But he got to celebrate a few more gashing runs that he made the tackle on.
I see our guys celebrate way to many mediocre plays. You would think when our DBs make a routine play that they had just saved the game. I get it to a point, but when you are playing like shit in general, make your tackle and run your ass back to the huddle.
I got a quite a bit of negative feedback for being mad about the locker room party after the Tech game, but all I could think about was how that shit wouldn't happen in Saban's locker room after such a shit performance.
We were only missing the crowd surf from Herman to be full Charlie Strong level of happy on a shitty win.
The mentality on this team extremely far away from championship level.
I didn't mean specifically that Kenyatta was looking for the wrong reasons, but the topics dovetail. There are plenty of guys that don't even give us a shot (ahem, Brockermeyers) because they can smell the stench before stepping foot on campus.
Just another symptom of the overall lack of program management, and it seems like our player's mentality if they aren't playing is to enter the portal. Not that I truly blame them, it just isn't a good look.
Hell, I'm ready to enter the portal on this team.
Yeah, I hadn't heard the full story on Mitchell, but saw someone post about him punching a coach. Unreal.
I am ready for this chapter of Texas Football to end, but I am afraid we have another year or two of Herman and this shit.
And at least when Mack got steamrolled by OU or put up another shitty loss to someone else, you knew we were about to win 7 in a row to get to ten wins.
With coach Mensa, you just brace for the next loss on his way to 4 or 5.
Just another example of how poorly managed this whole program is. We have a team full of entitled pussies that want to leave if they don't get the playing time they want.
I mean, we heard all last year how Jake Smith was going to leave if he didn't get playing time. But Sam tosses him a TD throw on 3rd and 5 and he drops the fucking thing.
You got Jacoby Jones celebrating tackles on every 5 yard run. You got BJ Foster quitting in the 3rd quarter only to be rewarded with playing time.
What a bunch of mentally soft entitled bitches, just like their head coach.
Do we get Percy too? He was the guy that bailed that UF offense out over and over again. We have been told we have recruited someone just like him forever. I hope that Whittington or Smith can fill that type of role.
I would also take an Aaron Hernandez - hold the murder
I am not sure who the "fuck of surly" would be, but doubt it would be a good prize. Probably not South Austin's mom, since she is a bit worn, but this could be a good thread to discuss.
And had we not pulled out the miraculous victory against Tech, I bet this game would be a pick em.
2014 - 16 should be used as proof of Patterson's desire to punk Texas any chance he gets. He has succeeded much more than he has failed. I have zero confidence that Turtle Tom is ready for it.
The display on Saturday made me sick for a number of reasons, but the feeling that we are going to completely waste Sam aside from an awesome Sugar Bowl is top of the list.
It is just one data point in a long list of things that infuriate me about Turtle Tom. But to see other teams actually have difference makers while we trot out the JAGs we have on our roster really pisses me off. To watch these guys miss blocks and drop passes over and over again, while teams like OU field actual difference makers is unreal.
I would kill to have a guy like Kyle Pitts from UF on our roster. We have no one even close. How is that not a priority in recruiting? Or does Tom just suck at that like he does at so much else at this job?
In our fourth year with Herman, who seemingly HAS to have at least one TE on the field for every single play, and I wouldn’t call any of the four TEs we have much better than average. Nowhere close to a true difference maker. Amazing.
