I know we're hyped about this team but I'm starting to feel this way, too. I don't think the rebuild will yield a bunch of immediate results and we should probably get used to that idea.
Oh damn, well even better then.
I actually think Thompson could be really good for us, if we had to put him in. But yeah Card needs to beat him out if he's going to have any chance of staving off Ewers. Ehlinger returning next season would fuck Card pretty hard.
You know who this extra year of eligibility really helps? Casey Thompson. He was thinking he'd be losing another year of eligibility riding the bench behind Ehlinger but nope. It's possible that he can graduate transfer (if he doesn't beat out Card next year) and play immediately with 2 years of eligibility. That is assuming Ehlinger doesn't decide to play for 2 more seasons.
This pic of true freshman DB Jahdae Barron guarding senior WR Tarik Black looks like a pic of David vs. Goliath. I badly want to know how that interaction turned out.
I'm actually okay with college football being delayed until the spring. That way, it might preserve the LSU game. But all this talk about canceling it entirely is horse shit.
Agreed. That was horribly stupid. He wants good players but not TOO GOOD. And they can't start out bad, either. They have to be mediocre from the beginning of their college career until the end. And lead the team to a solid tournament performance.
It sounds like he's used to how football works, not basketball. You can't have the same standard because football players can't leave as early.
I'm pretty damn excited for this kid actually. He has nice size. I like his build. If you watch his games, he flashes some pretty damn good athleticism and tenacity (on both ends of the floor).
