He visited Tech this week end and lot of those folk thought they'd see a commitment upon his departure. They saw a commitment alright, to another school. Maybe just so much wishful thinking on their part, but there seems to be considerable sentiment this one is not over yet.
Tech got a commitment today from a seemingly pretty much run of the mill 3 star OL, Larry Moore, from Fort Bend Marshall. Likely to see a couple more commits this week.
TT had a pretty good day today. Four commitments. In addition to the three above, they also got Quin Bright, an athlete out of Cedar Hill. All 4 had pretty nice offer lists.
Tech is hosting a good sized visit week end currently. Expect two more commitments tomorrow.
Not saying it's going to happen again, but TT swept 3 straight from Michigan earlier this season. Of course, Michigan is playing better now, but you've also got to think their run of getting an awful lot of breaks has to end at some point.
He, for whatever that's worth, maintains he can play. He has some type of apparatus rigged up that will allow him to get his injured and stiffly bandaged thumb in his glove. I'm still skeptical though. Maybe as a pinch runner or someone to try and steal a base or get a sac bunt down perhaps.
But It's hard to imagine him being effective as a traditional player for me anyway.
Not that I think there's a chance in hell of it happening, nor do I even want it to, but think it's damn funny that it appears a number of their SEC brethren are of the opinion that A&M has worn out their welcome and are ready to add someone like TT.
Five page thread on "SEC Rant" pertaining to adding TT and running off mostly A&M. Good entertainment. https://www.secrant.com/rant/sec-football/should-we-invite-texas-tech-into-the-sec/83896353/
Smartest device ad funny indeed.
Sporting News came out with their rankings of college coaches. Leach at number 17.

I'm not aware of any Omaha adjustments. Others might know better though.
Ole Miss leading Ark very early 1-0. If they should win, TT's side of the bracket would be Michigan, FSU and Ole Miss. Difficult of course, but manageable as CWS brackets go.
TT and Michigan played a three game series earlier this year. TT swept it 11-2, 10-3 and 8-5. One would hope that bodes well for Tech in their CWS opener.
How irrational of me. You posted a pic of Knight in which he wasn't looking too good and I made a very benign comment that he was currently experiencing some health issues. It is not uncommon when that happens to people of some notoriety, for it to be considered newsworthy to some.
And you then honor us with the high IQ flavored rant posted above. Go shit in your purse.
To me, the interesting thing about this is RJ signed the pro contract about a month ago. So all his recruiting updates and tweets were nothing more than a charade. He likes attention I guess. What a guy.
Tech really has a lot of talent IMO. However, they are severely lacking something of an intangible that keeps them from being a really quality team. I'll be surprised if they even make it out of this regional.
Pretty good rb who's very much a problem child. He's been suspended a good while now and it wasn't his first suspension. Before his problems he started last year. Would have started this year as well.
Jeff Goodman called it yesterday. Saw one estimate today that said he'd make about 400k a year.in New Zealand. Being selfish, if Texas Tech didn't get him, I'm glad he passed on KU as well.
Eighth best grad transfer apparently. According to these listings anyway.

4 star PF out of Dallas, Tyreek Smith, who visited TT last week end, now says he'll take one more visit this week end, that being to LSU and then will announce soon.
The bad news for TT fans is he's originally from La. I suppose the good news might be all the recent goings on around the LSU program.
If you believe this piece anyway, supposedly tonight's Boogie Ellis commitment to Memphis narrows the field to three for Hampton. I personally now think it'll be Kansas.
