  1. There are 44 games in the WNBA season and 82 games in the NHL season. I presume you meant 41 games for the NHL to reflect each team's home games. Season long ticket revenue per player would be a more valuable metric as it would account for the difference in season lengths, roster size, and ticket cost. And even then you don't account for the additional revenue from concessions, parking, etc..
  2. Anybody equating Jan 6th, where 140 police officers were injured due to a mob of 1000's of rioters, to what occured in MN where they had an overwhelming force vs one middle aged housewife is either too stupid to breath or just fucking trolling. Which is it? Oh, I see. Go fuck yourself.
  3. I think their argument is that before the women folk showed up, they were able to frolic all day in the quad playing tummysticks and thus had no time to practice football. Once the axe wounds showed up and destroyed their nirvana, they had a lot more time on their hands.
  4. David Thomas also extended so many drives either by making clutch athletic diving catches or just running over 2-3 people to get the first. In my mind he was the second most important person on that team.
  5. How much coke is Irvin gonna consume between tonight and the 19th? I feel foolish asking if Miami will have enough.
  6. Definitely not deserving of your wingman services
  7. That coyote pic is something. nice work on all those
  8. I'm pulling for Indiana to win it all, but if they don't I'd just as soon see LSU pay Lane for Ole Miss's fortune because it will be that much funnier when LSU never wins one with Lane before he bolts for the NFL.
  9. She probably has no idea whose kid it is, but since she's been getting plowed by Zion among others, it's better odds than the powerball
  10. I wonder what Zion's monthly onlyfans tab is (subs AND child support payments) Heavy SportsZion Williamson Faces Disturbing Allegations From OF ModelPelicans star Zion Williamson could be in hot water yet again, with OF model "Dopechick69" making serious allegations against him.
  11. TIL german announcers prefer to sound like the Sgt Schulz rather than calling the game in their native language....."Hooogaaannnnn!!!!"
  12. Gruden was not actually fired for cause, as he resigned his position. https://sports.yahoo.com/how-much-will-raiders-ultimately-pay-jon-gruden-to-leave-it-depends-if-he-he-wants-to-fight-041026115.html
  13. such a momentum killer
  14. goddamn weaver is such an animal, its a shame he doesnt have a better all around offensive game.
  15. Basketball don't pay the bills around here. He could go 0-fer in the SEC and CDC aint paying out his fully guaranteed $32M contract. Fuck...for that matter, if I was making the decision, I would rather pay him for one more season and get him like $20M in NIL and see if he has any chance of putting something together here. Its too much money to waste after season 1 and then expect there to still be money for the next guy that will be coming into a g'damn mess of a roster.
  16. It was a tie game when I went to drop a deuce and clean up my dinner mess, and now we're down like 15. Taking a shit seems preferable to watching whatever transpired over the last 10 mins of game time.
  17. Better start than I would have guessed. They look somewhat competent and playing with decent energy, hitting the glass, etc..
  18. Blotto replied to Derka's topic in Basketball
Should be some good games tonight. I have UGA v UF on now, havent watched either team this season, but took UGA+10 cause that seems like a lot of points to be giving to a team that is 13-1 and ranked just a few spots lower in kenpom. And as I type that out, UGA's big guy just got tossed when it was a 1 pt game.....furk.
  19. When I use the search function to search a thread or a subforum I get the results I would expect. But when I next click on any post from those results I get redirected to the end of the thread rather than to the specific post I am interested in viewing. Seems like this was working until recently. And while I'm here, does anybody else find it a major pain in the ass to try and delete quoted text from another post. You can't easily highlight the quote box and delete the entire thing like you could with the old site version, instead it always wants to force you to delete the quote contents letter by letter which is fucking stupid for a long quote. Am i missing some easy way to delete these quote boxes?
  20. Nah, the same rubes that have been paying these jock-sniffing clowns since the 90's will keep that autopay going til they kick the bucket.
  21. Solid bump. Feels good getting closure after 5+ years of uncertainty
  22. Good for montana state. Every fall after labor day, I head west to national parks to get the fuck out of the heat in Austin, and Montana usually gets a week or two of my time, as I'm a big fan of Glacier/whitefish area. Lots of smaller bars here and there that might have 2-3 TVs, and if both Montana and Montana state are playing at the same time, good luck getting them to switch to whatever game you might care about. Ive killed more than a few saturday afternoon hours in dive bars watching the griz and the bobcats play. Texas could be playing Ohio state, but if those schools are playing you may be out of luck. Bozeman is probably a good time this evening.
  23. Oregon's been getting that lesson for about 10 years now. And my guess is Indiana will prove that the lesson didnt stick last year either.
  24. Its like anything else, hire shitty coaches, get shitty results. It wasn't too long ago our team was #2 in the nation with early season wins over #2 gonzaga and #7 creighton (both at the moody) and there was legitimate buzz around the program. But after Beard's dumbassery blew it all up, we're back to uninspiring hires with complete shit scheduling in Austin. There is simply no juice with the current team/staff, and honestly while our incoming recruits are decent enough they aren't on the same level as a Tre Johnson. I'll be shocked if Miller makes it more than 3 seasons. If he tries running it back next season with no PG, probably more like 2 seasons. I don't understand what the fuck he was thinking with this roster construct.
