When the opposition just clearly doesn’t give a shit when your center backs have the ball close to the halfway line, they’re probably not good enough to pass it out of the back. Goddamnit
Ya having a Haymaker inside ABIA is nice for beer selection on the way to the gate, but fuck the prices are insane. I think it was $13 for an Electric Jellyfish
True, but it made a big difference to take out the water heater closet at the end of the hall in our house and add that space into the master bedroom closet on the other side of the wall. Granted, not everyone is in a 1300 square foot house and needs every inch of storage space possible.
The fact that Torriera comes into a game where we are down by 3 on the road to be the furthest forward center mid isn’t his fault, but it is a fucking problem.
Not sure if I should put this here or on the Nextdoor thread considering that’s where I ran across it, but apparently someone used a Uhual to move into their new spot across from Strait music on south Lamar.
I've disagreed with some of your opinions in this thread Bozo but that is not one. IMO the city shot themselves in the foot by going off half cocked on this and pushing through the first facility so quickly. If they would have had some comprehensive plan that had facilities scattered throughout the city like you've advocated for from the beginning they might have been able to sidestep some of the future push back from NIMBY, and actually address other issues like zoning, funding, etc. But ducks in a row is not how Austin gov't operates.
Isn't the saying never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity?
I'd eat my hat if Adler actually did that. I really think it's a moot point though, unless the South Austin shelter is hit out of the park every other neighborhood is going to fight like hell to keep this from happening in their district. Given the city's track record running homeless facilities what would you expect the chances of it getting off the ground without some bumps actually is?
RE: Kitchen, most recently she ran unopposed IIRC. Much of her district is old (Austin) and thus love her, and probably the majority of the rest of her constituents are young and either a) don't vote at very high rates or b) aren't very informed and went by name recognition.
Ya his finishing was just not good but I was hoping as a young player that could be improved. He offered quite a bit elsewhere and really improved his defensive work rate. Good luck to the guy.
Anyone ever used Hershey’s shell as a mix in their ice cream maker? Thinking about trying it but also have hard chocolate I could shave and mix in as mentioned up thread.
This is an interesting subject and not just in Texas. I've spent a bit of time traveling to places like Davenport IA, Columbus IN, Peoria IL. All of which have both white collar jobs in a small/medium size town (as well as blue collar), and all of the folks at those companies lament being able to attract talent for the white collar jobs. The towns all have decent downtowns, with night life and restaurants that are better than average. I grew up in a small town north of Plano so I could make it work in one of those towns, but after living in Austin I'd prefer a real city or the middle of nowhere. Obviously I'm not unique, and would have to go through a divorce before my wife would let me take a job someplace like that.
it's wonderful for furniture, as well as other uses and like the article said, grows relatively quickly. hoping this actually brings them back to being widespread again in my lifetime.
Maybe this has been covered, but it looks like some of those 2x4s are treated. Is that for any reason? Seems unnecessary and added weight compared to standard lumber.
