  1. Dude, modern wood glue properly applied makes a stronger joint than screws when it comes to panels. It does not need reinforcement. Regarding the thickness of your panel, only .5" of material wouldn't be my preference for a table top. I would personally just redo it as a previous poster said, by using better lumber that has been properly dried, jointed, and planed to the same thickness. You can just glue/screw it to a backer like plywood and add trim. It may fix some of the bowing, it probably won't eliminate it completely. Honestly it will probably last a few years until you know more about woodworking, and if you have kids you don't have to worry about your masterpiece being destroyed until after they're older and hopefully less destructive. Edit to add: You can't stop wood movement. The above will result in cracking, but again it's not heirloom furniture.
  2. Rojo and Otamendi are such idiotic CBs. Who the hell puts a foot that high in the 6 yard box when you're that close to a forward?
  3. The announcer says "Argentina can break here", and Nigeria's back 5 are all behind the ball, and the midfield is marked up on goal side. Not really a break away...
  4. that 2nd touch was beautiful
  5. Iran is pressing. They pissed.
  6. Well holy shit.
  7. That was a professional foul. Should have been a yellow.
  8. Modric getting fouled every time he has possession.

You act like our city council isn't. People are getting paid either way, it's just different people depending on which side you support. What do you mean look at all the fake neighborhood associations?
  10. Dude. You obviously need a new shop to be able to build this vanity. Preferably with AC, 3phase power, and a built in car lift. Because reasons.
  11. Doesn't everyone plan on getting to the airport early so they can have an overpriced beer and watch yoga pants walk by?
  12. Only 8-15% of studies in cardiovascular or drug discovery science can be reliably replicated. That number gets smaller in the softer sciences.

I broke down and ordered from one of the online retailers that doesn't make you order a 10 pack. Shipped yesterday, here tomorrow via USPS. Will see if it is any help this weekend.

Closest retailer to Austin is Elgin, not exactly down the street. At this point I'm considering buying the 10 pack on their website for $200 or driving out there and having BBQ.
  18. Apparently they're trying to get all informals done by the 20th of June. Also found out that they mailed the evidence packet, but it just hasn't arrived yet because the hearing date was set so soon, fuckers. They moved a bunch of desks into an upstairs room and have about 20 stations set up right next to each other. They're very clear you only get 15 minutes. Last year we were in the cube farm downstairs at normal workstations. I was able to get 30k knocked off, but considering they raised appraised from 290k to 390k or so it doesn't really feel like anything. I showed up with pics of needed repairs (roof and porches have leaks and need to be completely replaced) and got very little traction with that. I was nice to the guy and he used a unremodeled house as a comparable (our neighborhood was all built between 1960 to 70ish, and I think he said it sold for 290k), but they improved our condition because we pulled a permit last year and that skewed how they compare values to our neighbors & comps. Didn't matter that we didn't add square footage and almost all of the cost went straight to HVAC and water heater replacement, because we moved 2 interior walls to make a bathroom bigger they consider it a major remodel. Our plumber refused to work without pulling permits (don't blame him, its his licence) but next time I'll think twice about pulling permits for any work. I'm glad we don't plan on staying in this house too much longer as the taxes will quickly be assessed at well more than the house is worth if they aren't already. Not 1% but goddamn this process is frustrating. Side note, almost laughed out loud at the dude who sat down next to me and tried to argue that his house was worth less than his purchase price from this year. Don't think he had much luck.
  19. Have my informal tomorrow. They were nice enough to send me notice on Friday of last week. Also weird, they didn't send an evidence packet this year like I requested. It states in the letter that they'll provide that info at the informal. Dicks.

    It’s the Arsenal way.
  21. This seems to be a euro thing in general. All of the euro climbers, divers, runners I’ve run into take their sport very seriously.

Ramsey runs a shitload. Surprisingly so does Ozil. I know there will likely be some players that can't handle the demands of more uptempo press, but those 2 won't be it. IMO the question is does he like/dislike them for other reasons. Both drift in and out of form, I personally think they were overplayed when in form under Wenger which led to other issues.
