Everybody expects the vaccine to be the savior but there has been some vaccines that took 10 years to develop. There are no guarantees with this virus, there's surprises almost daily with how it acts. Now we have the issue in Korea where 120 people that recovered from the virus have re-acquired.
Aston wasn't a villain, she probably would have won the Big12 multiple years if it were not for Mulkey. So I guess the standard for any hire is whether he/she can beat Mulkey. That's pretty limited number of proven candidates.
So, there is a possibility that the opening of universities on-campus classes will be delayed until January '21. Maybe we have football starting in January.
What's with the freshmen and the Fall semester starting on time, doesn't that decision have to be made mid-summer. I would assume the start of college football would follow that decision.
Ignore the UC system schools for now and get USC and Stanford to agree in principal. Then see if we can get Washington and Oregon without the States. If that were to happen we would have two more slots left to get to 16 teams and the Big12 just might be able to pick off a blue blood somewhere else in the country. Of course the Arizona pair would always be available.
Yes I watched this game because I'm always amazed by how much difference a good coach makes. Yes Mulkey has some great talent but she gets them to play as a team. I'm convinced we could swap players with Baylor and Mulkey would blow us out just like she does now.
I'm not sure, didn't Jerry Jones just hire a new coach when the redhead's contract ran out? I'm not sure anyone told Jason Garrett he was fired, they just quit paying him.
Baylor doesn't really blow out people, they tend to let bad teams hang around and then go on a run with 3-4 minutes left in the game. Somebody, maybe it's Shaka, is going to hang around and not let Baylor win the last three minutes.
In my view, the issue with Aston is simply that we're playing for 2nd place in the Big12 every year. Mulkey has Baylor women's basketball at an elite level and Astooon is not up to that. We have to decide if playing for 2nd place in women's basketball is suitable. If not, where are we going to get a coach to match Mulkey? I don't believe any of the established, elite women's basketball coaches would move to Austin.
Why would anyone think that Cuban's plan would be better college sports. I can understand the more money that's there but being a college fan is not like being a pro sports fan. College sports is about traditions and rivalry, none of that appears in pro sports.
