Morris deserved firing as much as anyone I've seen. His teams were not playing at all. Giving Morris a third year would have been terrible for that team. I don't know what to think about firing coaches in mid-season though.
Yes, I'm beginning to think Rhule fits at Baylor just as well as Grant Teaff did. Third year coach that is winning without elite talent. Arky is going to have to find a leftover coach recuperating at Alabama or get lucky with an FCS guy like KSU did. I doubt Lane Kiffin would take the Arky job, of course there's always this high school guy in Mt. Vernon.
I don't like to look at Gary Patterson, he seems freaky to me especially with that sweat towel girl. However, I'm going to watch the game to see what Baylor does with Reagor.
I don't think Wells is Briles 2.0 but he does seem to have a little of that DNA. I doubt the media goes full ape shit with Tech like they did with Baylor. The sensationalism has sort of run it's course. Besides we haven't sent in our black ops guys, LOL.
They've won 8 games already which is 4 more than I predicted they would win this season. If they go 2-2 during their last 4 games they will have double wins in Rhule's third year after starting with 50 scholly players. Either he is good or he is so fucking lucky I want to take him to Vegas.
I will agree that OU and UT have a talent advantage on BU. But TCU has nobody but Reagor that would definitely start on BU's offense. The defense for TCU and BU is more of a push from what I've seen. I think BU takes the game at TCU. Home against OU and UT is a different situation. Talent should win but there's always coaching.
Herman's getting at least another year, probably two. That's the sad reality. Personally I think that three years isn't enough to know if a coach can succeed. On the other hand, Herman is such an unikeable human being that fuck him, let's gets some new blood.
Well, he did move his parents and in-laws to Waco. Maybe he actually likes the place, he says he does. Magnolia is opening a hotel and a coffee shop downtown so maybe he's a Chip fan.
Let's see, Tech is ahead by 3 points with 1:20 left in regulation and they just sacked Brewer on Baylor's 4 yard line. The Tech defense then allows Baylor to march down the field and kick a field goal with 3 seconds left in regulation. Tech's defense lost the game right there. That game should never have been in overtime. Having said that, the worst game of officiating for both teams that I've seen all year and it wasn't just a blown fumble call.
