Put in the big hole and gouge on it (truck driver check in)
It is hard to tell the truth on the internet, but some searching suggests that the Piggly Wiggly driver was having a stroke when that happened. So I guess the driver's brain was still working enough that he was trying to back in, but not working enough to where he did it ok, or that he realized that he was not right. On watching the video, it seemed deliberate, but maybe not.

2024 Texas GameDay Stadium Experience Thread
It is harder to see, at least during day games, when the ambient light is bright enough to overpower the LED light.

I did see a Southwest 737 fly over the stadium sometime during the game. So we did get at least one flyover.

2024 Texas GameDay Stadium Experience Thread
The pre-installed seat back chairs got a major upgrade, that was nice. They didn't show the text captions of the announcer/referee comments well this time. The referee audio is often unintelligible, and I like seeing the player names in the commentary. I would have extra liked to read the names and countries of the Olympic medalists, I could barely understand that audio. Did they change the down markers on the field? I remember being able to read these, now they are these LED numbers that are so dim they are hard to see.

Tell me about Florida
My favorite Lake Alice fact, as a crocodilophile, is that if you search for news stories about people trying to have a picnic at Lake Alice, and then an alligator crawls out of the lake to steal their lunch, you have to keep track of the dates on the stories since this happens repeatedly and otherwise the different stories will run together.

Ah ok. I missed that part.

Notre Dame @ Texas A&M; Catholics vs Cultists
I did. With 0 completions/yards/tds, the formula gives a=-0.15, b=-0.75, c=0, d=2.375, then the overall rating is (-0.15 - 0.75 + 0 + 2.375) / 6 * 100 = 24.583.

Notre Dame @ Texas A&M; Catholics vs Cultists
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating For 0/30 you get a rating of 1.475/6 * 100% = 24.583, using the NFL formula.

But this implies that the hole is completed. I am pretty sure this can never be so.

On both sides of the same at-bat even! When the game was suspended, Jansen was at bat for Toronto. When the game resumed, Jansen was the catcher for the Red Sox, with Varsho pinch-hitting for Jansen.

Do you happen to know the line number/construction number/delivery registration of that 727? I have a book that lists these for all the 727's made. I.e. the first TWA 727 was line number 36 (the 36th built), construction number 18569, and registration N850TW, first flight 25 Mar 1964. I probably don't actually want to know the answers though, as I am very fond of the 727, and don't need reasons to find them creepy.

Can't Figure This Out
No. They would both displace exactly the same volume of water, the volume of the objects. If the object is FLOATING, then the weight of the water displaced will equal the weight of the object. So if your two identical objects have a density small enough to float, then the denser one will displace more water (and float lower) than the less dense one.

Vice President tells NASA to get to the Moon in 5 years.
I suspect that NASA is really desperate for some alternative to Elon Musk and they really really wanted another option, and so Starliner got as much rope as possible. But Boeing.
