  1. Not as good as Local Foods pickles but still quality. I will be analyzing the napkin set up next trip. Actually, I know yall can't wait so I'll do it now.....I don't like it. In order to get a napkin, I have to hold the roll down and many people have touched that roll doing the same thing. Napkin game at Truth BBQ = weak.
  2. Truth BBQ (houston) line update: got in line at 10:50 am, sat at my table at 11:30 am. But what I really wanted to add was that their soda carbonation levels are always on point. That is very important to the experience. I hate flat soda.
  3. I'm not an expert at shit and opinions of what is best bbq in Htown are subjective (but it's truth, pinkertons, pit room, feges, roegels in that order). But I am a subject matter expert of Truth BBQ line times when you get there at 10:58 am. I've been a few bakers dozen times. I don't go if I can't get there at that time. This article has added a 25 minute bump at that time. And has added an increased amount of assholes who cut in line too. I hope @Patricio Swayze you aren't one of these because I might shank you if so. Then again, I've stopped going as frequently now because of said 25 minute new premium.
  4. I clearly have the intelligence of a 247 sub because I have no clue how to interpret that. Generally, I interpret Brandon Harris positive emojis as the SEC got a great recruit (aggie or alabama) and UT did not.
  5. I don't know lines at bbq places on weekends because with kids, we go to Mia's and places like that. If you prioritze convenience and kid cant do lines at all, I'd go to Feges. Never too long a line. Max 15 minutes. Bonus points also go to Feges because they have play area (dependent on how old). If you prefer taste and think kid can handle 30-45 minute line, I'd hit up Truth because it is higher quality. I've sorta dropped off Pinkertons because Truth is more convenient for me so haven't been since Covid.
  6. Has Elko ever interviewed for a job, like for real? No one can whiff on that many head coaching positions with his background and results.
  7. Back to the NIL deal, sounds very very positive for say Class of 24 folks. From those in the know, how much does this move needle in next two weeks and with portal? Is it not much impact because slow adoption due to uncertain amounts combined with certainty from the whataburger bags in their face at this moment? A lot because we are selling $100k type floors?
  8. I do Taste of Tx for that exact thing every few weeks. I get there rt at 11 a.m. Like an old man so that I get a table and don't have to touch everyone's coots with the serving utensils. But I've liked Feges a bit more than you. Serviceable but not Truth.
  9. Are we allowed to talk to posters in real life? I saw you and tried to DM you instead of looking at you in the eye.
  10. Went to the new Post MKT food hall. We had hot chicken and Andes Cafe, luckily going 2 for 2 with the Andes stuff grading out as super delicious. Upstairs was great to get a drink. Didn't hurt it was perfect weather. East side king was late opening when I went so will also try that next time I go.
  11. Maybe Mack loyalists for sure but the shit they got mailed to them many times was during the year when defense underwhelmed. And underwhelmed back then would have been our best defensive game in a decade now. It's a bit what I see out of OSU fans right now with their loss to Michigan.
  12. If D Brown turns put to be a real playa', he will be a fan favorite for a decade. NIL will treat him nicely, hopefully.
  13. Not yet anyways
  14. Yeah, I lived there for two years and thought it was great. Many people who diss LA live in a shithole suburb next to a gas station and trampoline park. With that said, LA is large and a majority is the same as the most miserable parts of big cities.
  15. Emory ballard
  16. It's fantastic. As is what a LSU guy wrote at an aggie in one of those threads.... please call us daddy. Until Texas comes we are going to play that role.
  17. 100%. Which is why I find any fan digging their heels in on either side of our coaching decision comical. No one on this board knows shit but we act like keeping Sark is the only option or firing everyone and hiring coach du jour will cure everything. It's OK to have an opinion and not be blinded by it. This ain't politics where binary options and my beliefs are the absolute only right way.
  18. I hate the "trigger" word. But I'm like you and triggered by thinking of Mack and his folksy, arrogant, blame everyone but Sally and the great parents bullshit. Say what you will about Sark....Mack would not have played Xavier Worthy until OK State game because he would have thrown up in the Cotton Bowl tunnel.
  19. Correct. It was while he was a coach here. Our fans really really really suck. I couldn't believe it and its shaped how i think of us. Guess back then, the average fan wasn't on social media or Hornfans or any other place you could yell at other fans to show how tough you were so you mailed things instead.
  20. This is a rare "I have inside knowledge" moment. They got so much hate mail and gross things mailed to them by our "great" fans that it was uncomfortable. The reality is it was the first time that type of shitty fan behavior happened to them so they probably thought Texas fans sucked. I'm sure it happened far worse at future stops but that first time hits hardest (like getting a shocker). This is why I shake my head at our fan base. The Muschamp's were hated by many Longhorns. Yet now, we want him back. I've grown accustomed to fans just hating everyone but VY, Ricky, and Earl. That includes me, btw. I irrationally hate Greg Davis and Mack more than any coach since. Tie in to recruitment....I wonder how our hatred of everyone affects momentum sometimes. We fans likely make no difference but I do think it moves the needle. Then again, I think the two biggest factors in school choice are which school sets them up for the NFL the best and which bag is heaviest, not fan base or quality of education or facilities or coach or relationships.
  21. I missed this and never saw a link to recording. Any one have it?
  22. I'd go back and ask for 2nds on crunchies (for years, mind you). I'm in my mid 40s and amazed my cholesterol doesn't have a siren going off yet.
  23. I'm not sure about Sark but I'm so sorry for you that the Longhorns won. Let me know ASAP when you get over it.
  24. Our rotation for our once-a-week eating out experiences was: Long John Silver's (you are wrong if you didn't respect that chicken plank) Fuddruckers Little Ceasars And when it was a birthday or graduation or something special, it was Steak & Ale. Where I'm disappointed no one has brought up how great the bread was and how the salad bar made you feel like you owned bitcoin since 2015, bruh.
