Headed to Santa Fe next week. This is our fifth trip to Santa Fe. Never been this time of year, previous four times were in the summer.
Anything new that is not to miss, activity or food wise?
Geronimo's and Sazon are booked. Maybe Market Steer, Radish & Rye, italian recommendation.... of course pasqual, el chile toreado, we always hit up La Choza/The Shed and Tia Sophia's.
you might call and ask what time they put the list out. I can't remember if it was 3, 3:30, or 4. I just remember when I showed five minutes before they put the list out, there were already four people waiting. That was summer, but I guess you never know.
Hurtado Fort Worth (former Derek Allen spot) is having a soft opening today at 11am, but I'm going to try and hit up Daynes on Friday. But damn, that line was long last friday.
JD'S was packed at lunch today, OPEN sign was lit up. Didnt eat, was headed to Russell Feed.
Has anyone been to Gusto's at Hotel Dryce? Looks great, but they're not open for lunch.
We bought our double, fiberglass doors from www.doors4home.com. Our GC did a little shim hear and there, used Old World stain. they look great. check with resdoor (local), they might be cheaper.
Went running on Thursday morning. At approx 7am, I turned down beach st towards the beach. Finally got to see one of thise coyotes I heard about. It was just chill trotting down the street.
The line just for sign up at La Playa is unreal. But them cooking my fish made it worth it.
any updates on this?
My downstairs ac is cooling down to 70 w/o issue with these 105 degree temps. My upstairs ac was having issues cooling down below 73 at 105 degrees outside. I turned on my attic fan and insulated attic door, no issues cooling down to 72 (havent tried to go cooler). Using the infrared temp gun, prior to fan, I believe the air coming out of the duct was 63 or 64 degrees. Now its at 58-60.
Is it the Gaff that uses those old ass toaster ovens? It's been years since I've gotten pizza from there.
Headed down soon. Bay fishing with Tejas Charter. I'm jonesing. My mind is already in vacay mode.
Dayne's might have found a sweet spot with this location. I detoured to camp bowie when headed to Leonard's, line has been consistently long. I've been to the Lola's location maybe five times, I dont remember the line being this long.
Finally made it over to Zavala's. Great stuff. The brisket and the sloppy juan were the stars. Ribs were phenomenal too, well seasoned. Sausage was a tad dry. Not a fan of their cheesy sauce on the hominy but the potato salad was awesome.
La Playa is the spot we always hit up. We get there before 5 and write our name on the clipboard. also our go to for cook-your-catch.
Cancun Grill is our go to for breakfast tacos and pancakes.
I like Irie's for lunch. Not sure if service has sped up with the new location, but we always order ahead.
