Counterpoint…OP- Hugh Freeze Auburn Football
We’re approaching the point that he’s thrown so many QBs under the bus , that maybe no one wants to play for him?? His offense helped me tremendously put numbers up when I blew my shoulder out…. But why is it someone else’s fault every time there’s a loss ?? … but when there’s a win I watch the press conferences just to count how many times the word “I” is used… appreciate what he did for me , my son wouldn’t be playing for him tho. I got a story I’ll keep in my back pocket forever until it’s time. (Auburn staffers calling my phone incoming) But that dude has never helped me a day in his life…. It was always only about getting a win for him so he could collect his extra 100 racks a win. If y’all knew the medications and shots I was taking to get that man his money you wouldn’t believe they would let you walk on a field like that. And with all that , I still feel the tires from the bus. (Bo’s drunk) nah he is as sober as could be watching tape , just tired of this dude always blaming players … EVERY.SINGLE TIME. Do your research on his offenses , excluding his time at liberty , look at the interceptions every qb he’s had play for him throws , at some point when it happens over and over every year…. You look in the mirror , not at the players to save face.- Texas vs. Michigan - 11am on Fox

We’re two days back from our trip, and man…we had a hell of good time despite a few self-inflicted fuck ups. Wife got her wallet lifted and lost her cash/cards/license on day 3. She got silly on the metro we think, and someone grabbed it. Shit happens…didn’t let it ruin our trip and just rolled with it. I had all of our required/important stuff (passports, whew!) tucked away. We never felt unsafe as we traversed the city, so I don’t really put this on ‘Paris’ and would just say strap in / zip in your shit and keep it close (obvious stuff). We spent the first half of our trip over by the Louvre at Hotel da Vinci. It was tight but nice…the staff were phenomenal. It was rainy most days of our trip, but it wasn’t that bad. We hit the Mark Rothko exhibit at the Louis Vuitton Foundation and did a Louvre guided tour (worth it). Got to see the highlights there but didn’t see a fraction of the place. We intended to go back, but never made it. Took the train up to Versailles and was in awe at the size of the place and the beauty of it all. Every room decked out floor to ceiling and just massive. That’s one thing that I wasn’t expecting, I guess…the size of the various places you come across. Not to mention the age of it all. The golf carts were awesome to traverse the gardens, but most of it was still winterized or being prepped. Can only imagine what it would be like in the spring/summer. Went to a couple of cabaret shows, ballet and had a couple of good meals…went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and a few other touristy sights. Nice benefit of suspect weather and time of year meant there weren’t really a ton of lines or huge crowds to fight anywhere. we moved to the InterContinental Le Grand for the last 4 nights and holy shit at the change in square footage. Pricy step up but worked out great for my wife’s photoshoot. I took the day trip to Normandy on Sunday while she did her thing. That was probably the highlight of my trip. The weather turned beautiful that day and I had a great tour guide and co-passengers. tour stopped at Point du Hoc to see the bunkers and get the story of the Rangers who captured it, a ‘cider tasting’ and an old farmhouse/orchard (picked up a bottle of Calvados), Omaha Beach and the Operation Overload Museum, and ended at the Normandy American Cemetery. Watched the flag lowering and Taps then rolled back to Paris. We spent our last day wondering around a few areas and finally got up to Montmartre. Weather was perfect and that area was exactly what I had in mind when I through about a Paris neighborhood. The artists were all out and the area was hopping. Stairs fucking sucked though…saw the elevator thing after we’d made it up to the top. All in all a great last day. we didn’t get to do everything we thought we wanted to do, but that’s ok. Now we have a reason to go back!- Jim Harbaugh NO LONGER coaches at Michigan

Awe damn…I messed up the post. She’s got the 3 months, not 6 months that some require. Should be good.- The France Thread
Bump…Im working my way through the thread, but wanted to pile on here in the meantime. My wife’s side gig (makeup artist) has opened up an opportunity for her to travel to Paris in less than a month, and we’ve never traveled beyond US/Mexico unless it was on a cruise. Paris has never really been on our radar, so beyond the major tourist attractions, we don’t have much of a feel for stuff we should take in and no French language skills to speak of. We’re departing DFW Saturday afternoon (2/24) and non-stop to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport arriving at 9am Sunday. Seems this might not be best for jet lag, but preferred the non stop option. We fly back on 3/5 around noon. we haven’t booked accommodations yet but we’re eyeballing an AirBnB that sits in the 4th across from the Hotel de Ville which seems to be close to the train station. guess we’re just looking for general recommendations. I’d expect to have some days to myself while she works but the schedule is up in the air. How do we kill 9 nights in Paris? I’m not opposed to day trips. We like general touristy stuff and she loves art. I’m a picky eater, so that’s got me on edge…we’re not Surly 1% but I’ve got $9k in spiff money to throw at this thing (2400 gone for flights…main cabin extra…not sure I can justify the bump to next level) to help with some expense, and who knows if we ever get back over there. any stupid international travel bs to be aware of? Assuming a combination of euros and a CC will be sufficient for paying for things. I was worried about wife’s passport…it expires like 39 days after our return, which is within the 30 day window France seems to require. open to some romantic shit for the misses, including checking out one of the cabarets. Appreciate it!- 2024 NFL Playoffs - Divisional Round
