Tinnitus
Unfortunately, alcohol is one of the worst triggers. Salt is also a no no, so no chips, especially Fritos. No rapid or severe movement of the head. Large changes in barometric pressure. Anything you can think of that would irritate the inner ear or cause rapid changes in the pressure within the small space of the inner ear. I've been able to control it relatively well, but damn I miss beer. I really, really miss beer.

I'm An Alcoholic
I need a counselor in Austin that can help me begin to "help" people who are in another city. I guess I need to look at ADATC.

I'm An Alcoholic
I need a recommendation for a source in Austin. "A friend"...yeah, I know, is in a toxic relationship and alcohol is a big part of it. I don't know how to approach the husband, he is the drinker and, according to the wife, is the abuser, but she is histrionic and keeps secrets. I need to know how to approach either/both of them, probably I need to approach the husband, but I worry about enraging him and causing him to take it out on the wife. I'd like some guidance from someone in Austin.

Trivial Things That Make You Surly
Yeah, she’s a keeper, but this wasn’t a male vs female thing. They asked more questions than I’ve experienced when getting a home loan. It was intrusive, invasive, and fuck their windows. If they were playing odds they rolled the wrong dice.

Trivial Things That Make You Surly
I just went through the very same thing trying to schedule an estimate with Anderson Windows. It must be a new technique. Pissed me off.

That water comes from somewhere and people in the area are concerned with dwindling ground water. Consumption of that much water will not be good for the area.- Songs that hit you or someone you love in the feels

Just a heads up, you’ll not be able to kill her by swerving in to her lane because she’s on to your lane changing trickery.- Wives and the Stupid Shit They Say/Do

Not exactly the same, but I'll put this here to avoid starting another thread. It describes what I have had in addition to "normal" tinnitus. It is now thought to be Vestibular Migraine. It's been a journey. From the anaciend Greek physician Aretaeus: "If darkness possesses the eyes, and if the head be whirled round with dizziness , and the ears ring as from the sound of rivers rolling along with great noise, or like the wind when it roars among the sails, we call the affection Vertigo. a bad complaint indeed...the mode of vertigo is heaviness of the head, sparkles of light in the eyes along with much darkness, ignorance of themselves and of those around; if the disease go on increasing, the limbs sink below them, and they crawl on the ground; there is nausea and vomitings..." The Road Home. I think I had to pay three bucks on prime. Chinese subtitles. They beat you to death the first 10 minutes with how much the girl wants the boy to notice her, but it settles in to something worth watching.- Trivial Things That Make You Surly

You see, sir, you have been terribly misled. “Rarely” is not a viable alternative. “Never” is the only studied and correct response. You may add “Ever” for emphasis if you want to really hammer home your point. As in “Never. Ever. trust a fart”. I believe this philosophy will serve you well.- Trivial things that please the ever living shit out of you
The first bite of a perfectly ripe cantaloupe.- Yes: Pools are worth it....
Please give me a brief tutorial on pool circulation. I was under the impression that with manipulation of the valves and pumps I could attain relatively equal and consistent levels in the pool, spa, and basin...pumping from a high area to a low area, thereby not wasting water. For example if heavy rain fills the smaller spa I can move the overflow to the larger pool, using the larger "container" for "storage", and vice versa. No?- Yes: Pools are worth it....
The pool builder put a pipe through the negative edge basin. He says this is an "overflow" so the water doesn't get too high in the basin. WTF? Shouldn't any excess water in the basin be returned to the pool? - Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
