Superman (2025)
I rewatched the film and I definitely enjoyed it more. Went up a point in my book. I’m curious if the original cut of this film was closer to 150mins. Even after a 2nd watch, there’s stuff with no context littered across the film. “Don’t tell him anything Superman, it’s okay, I have no family”. That hit me the 2nd time around, but I couldn’t help but feel his character had some scenes axed.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
How does Tyler compare to the kid Georgia got out of Oak Ridge last class?

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Kosi & Tyler are two mean mfs to add to the LB room. I feel like we need another one. Nansen should go out to the West Coast and find a long framed developmental type in Southern California. Those guys fly under the radar every class.

Superman (2025)
Had a chance to check this film out last night. I wanted to let it linger before I spoke on it. I don’t think I enjoyed it most of the first act, I had all these preconceived notions on what I thought the film would be or maybe how it should be. I was trying to view it from the lens of past Superman films. When I let that stuff go and just observed, it was a cool experience. It’s truly unique. It’s not really comparable to any other comicbook film. You’re just dropped into this world going 100mph the entire time. I think it could have used an additional 10-15 minutes, there were powerful moments that almost felt superficial. The characters were also so good that you want to spend more time with them. It’s a James Gunn film, but definitely peeled back. It’s so diverse in tone, you could imagine any character existing in this world, you’ll see examples of that in the film. I could see some people hating this movie. It’s chaotic, ridiculous, and hilarious at times. I’ll get into some pros and cons once the movie actually drops. I think I want to see it again. If you’re a fan of DC, I think you’ll find many things in this film redeeming. I think this is the Batman Begins to a potential Dark Knight. Solid start. This a Superman you can build around, even if his solo film doesn’t hit for everyone.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Texas really wants a lot of guys. I don’t see Tech in on them. This doesn’t make sense in the context of their class. Why not just put together a Top10 class?

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Somebody educate me on Tech recruiting. Why would they splurge for Ojo? Their class looks pedestrian. You’d think their class would look more like Aggie if they really wanted to spend some money.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
We’ve got our asses handed to us every single summer on the recruiting trail since Sark has been here. Folks are desperate. Have patience.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Damn, every summer we get outbid heavily. Texas seems to have no issue playing the long game under Sark. It is kind of fun to see how the dominoes fall throughout the season. Should be another interesting one when you consider Texas’s trajectory vs these desperate wallets.

Realignment talk not going away
I know it would never happen, but the original Big12 South could flip the sport on its head overnight by re-forming some sort of Southwest Centric Conference. Texas and OU packing the prestige, Tech and A&M outbidding the field for Texas/Louisiana talent. The T Boone Foundation is still pumping dollars into OSU athletics, I think they could easily be an Ole Miss type in the portal lane if they wanted to. I wouldn’t invite Baylor. I’d start at 12. Maybe: Texas, A&M, OU, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Kansas Other Division: Arizona State, SMU, Colorado, Utah, Kansas State, Texas Tech Obviously you’re betting on Tech, SMU, Colorado, and ASU to pop off in NIL. If you wanted to go to 14, there is some intriguing regional options. College Sports will wither and die if national conference structures aren’t combatted.

Trevor Goosby looks like a leaned out Tristian Wirfs. They could be siblings.

James Gunn's DC Universe
Got my advanced screening tickets for Tuesday Night. As a younger DC fan who had to live through the MCU era, it feels like it’s finally our time to shine. Would have been nice at 16, even better pushing 30.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
It’s not that deep. No one is this thread has ever made a negative comment about Quinn’s character. No one is denying how great of a representative he was for the University. It’s simply football talk on a football thread.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Sarks NFL relationships seem to be relevant enough for his colleagues to take flyers on his players in the late rounds. JWhitt benefited from that last class. I had strong doubts about Quinn following that OU game, and I just became more critical as the season progressed. It was so obvious that teams like Arkansas, Kentucky, and A&M didn’t belong on the same field as us. Yet we couldn’t pull away. Hell the SEC championship was served up on a silver platter. That being said, have so much love and respect for anyone who wears that Burnt Orange. I hope he makes the most out of this opportunity.

2025 NFL Draft
I wonder if that knee has spooked teams on Cam. He was always sort of a raw prospect that was graded high based on potential. I would have loved to have back next season. He would have mauled people in the 2025 Texas offense.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Looks like Sark actually offered the Mosley kid in August of 2021. So the staff has known of him for some time. His tape is nice, he reminds me of Matthew Golden. Super smooth and controlled, so much so that it makes their game speed on tape look slower. Yet they create a ton of separation.

Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
To be fair, he got hurt because of a terrible throw made by a QB that probably should have sat the game out. He also got setup multiple times on late throws to the post where he was predictably decapitated. He probably had other ideas for how he’d be utilized in the offense.

What’s the story on Clark anyways? I heard he was cutting heavily on that Achilles, at full-speed. They ship him down to Mexico for some stemmies?

Neto looks huge in practice videos. He makes DJ Campbell look like a left tackle. If Christian Clark is really full-go, you got to think inside zone is going to be our bread & butter this season. That interior offensive line is massive.

UTSA v Texas - 6:30 p.m.SEC Network+
It’s baseball. The ball rolls the other teams way some nights. The LSU team we play this weekend lost to Omaha. Shit starts going off the rails if you start to lose them consistently like Aggy.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
I’ve been watching a lot of draft content on Texas Longhorns. Whenever I’m watching an analyst go through Goldens film, they’re constantly shocked by the mediocre balls thrown his way. Ironically, I think it allowed him to show off his ridiculous catch radius and contested catch ability. That deep ball against Clemson is a great example. That should be a house call, but instead it’s a Golden Circus catch.
