  1. Rams didn’t play particularly well those last few games, and it may have carried over
  2. When Rams-Panthers is more entertaining than the Longhorns portal news….
  3. Didn’t think I’d still be watching this game past the half
  4. Unless I’m mistaken, believe it or not, Houston has already nabbed 2 of the top OL in the portal
  5. I think what you’re saying is more programs have money to spend, and are willing to spend it in year 3 of the portal. My first thought at hearing that is “OK, adjust on the fly and outspend the competition”. But I also wonder if Texas a year ago recruiting on “Texas will be preseason #1 w/ Arch the Heisman favorite” is a lot easier than Texas recruiting off the season they just finished. The narrative outside of Texas has changed. If that’s the case, you’ve lost some of the “get me to the NFL” ability you had the last couple of years. At that point, it’s use your considerable financial advantages, and if that’s not enough in this current environment, there’s not many more paths other than re-setting “hope” through a coaching change. Seems to be the natural progression in professional sports which is what we are talking about in the NIL era
  6. Historically, conventional wisdom has said O-line is more “hit or miss” in the transfer portal than other positions. Is that still the consensus? If so, seems to me an O-line needy program would need to treat the position like a numbers game, bringing in as many as possible to up their odds
  7. Feels to me like Mark Cuban is getting good return on his significant investment
  8. DEF Portal game > OFF Portal game…… so far
  9. What did Herbie mean by “Cristobal built Miami the right way”?
  10. Honestly, I think I can understand any coach that bolts college for the NFL as a casual observer of this shit show, and Saban’s retirement is making an awful lot of sense
  11. Hoping to wake up and find The O-line fairy came in the night
  12. Nah, you’ll find plenty of content to work with. I might even give you some
  13. Michigan also lucked into one hell of a coach though
  14. Yep. The trick is making them an offer they can’t refuse (no murder)…..
  15. Because he’s contemplating the Falcons job
  16. One of the best to ever do it on The 40 Acres
