Assuming nothing official has been confirmed, is speculation that the new training facility will be completed in early-to-mid 2025 such that artificial turf in DKR could be swapped for grass in time for that season?- 2023 Fall Camp Thread of Dominance
An argument relying on absolutes (see bolded) is rarely sound. Even if one acknowledges that recruiting and other roster management aspects of being a CFB head coach are dramatically different in the pre- and post-NIL eras and that Sark is more advantaged in the current era, which I do agree with, that does not make his time at USC and UW totally irrelevant bases for evaluating his merits (and prospects) as a head coach. But how about player development, game planning for upcoming opponents, in-game adjustments/management, coaching staff management and, last but not least, proclivity for vices and other things outside the football complex that could undermine everything the coach might be doing well within it. Those are just a few critical aspects that can serve as valid points for drawing valid apples-to-apples comparisons across both eras. It's fair to look at Sark's pre-NIL track record in these areas to make an educated assessment of his weak (and strong) points as a head coach and how that might be expected to translate to future W's and L's. In sum, the situations are somewhat different in that recruiting and roster management have changed dramatically. However, the situations remain the same on many fronts - so the notion that they are "completely" different, or that any comparisons are invalid, is laughable. If what you are actually trying to say is that NIL advantages will lead to so much of a talent advantage over our competition that any coaching weaknesses Sark has carried during both areas are mitigated, that is a fair argument. But that's not the argument you've actually made to this point.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls

With everyone in this list calculator'd, we would have a projected score of 293.12. That would slot us second in the current (2024) pecking order and third in last year's final. Gruntled. Also, NSIAP: http://i.imgur.com/97GUAlP.png- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
This might be the most creative way I've seen to humble brag about pulling in an approx $215K salary.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
Three things that would have met with disbelief on the recruiting board this time last year: We bagged an the nation's top EDGE prospect in a drawn-out battle with LSU. Someone unironically stating that Mike Roach "might be a better bet than Fong." Kwiatkowski generally considered a value add, not on the hot seat. Two things that have not changed in the slightest: Nahlin is a bitch. FCB- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls

My interpretation: Fong knows, but is letting the kid have his "day" by regaining some excitement of uncertainty in where he'll land. If Fong knew it was LSU, feel like he would have left his LSU prediction and devalued it in his write-up with something to the effect of, "this is one that could go either direction - I already entered an LSU pick so, given the current situation, I'm just going to let it ride knowing there's a coin flip's chance it'll hit." Ergo, him killing his LSU prediction is a good sign for us.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls

I was born with taste bud dysmorphism, asshole. But rest assured, what buds I lack, I make up for with effort.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
I'd take her to on a nice bike ride to the outskirts of Charleston, pay the initial premiums on our new life insurance polices using my paltry wages, and then show her what 473 taste buds look like. If you know what I mean.- Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Dumb 'sip. Jimbo is pulling out all the stops and has orchestrated a celebrity pitmaster for the occasion. Lincoln Riley of course, and his sous-pitmaster Malachi Nelson. Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Probably doesn’t rise to the level of being a contract for an illegal purpose. The bank robbery was just to illustrate on example (that’s what the “e.g.” in the parenthetical stands for). Hope that help clear things up.- Huge Piece of Shit and alleged Woman Abuser Chris Beard has been hired at Mississippi
Contracts entered for an illegal purpose (e.g., requiring one party to rob a bank) are invalid contracts / unenforceable. In your hypothetical, an NDA requiring her to keep her mouth shut probably doesn’t rise to that level. That said, if she were to put or otherwise find herself in a situation where she was required by law to disclose any info restricted under the NDA to a governmental authority, she would be allowed to disclose.- Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread

Do you lie in wait until someone brings up an opportunity, even the slightest of openings, to reiterate your feelings on the 2022 portal strategy for the umpteenth time? Why am I asking rhetorical questions?- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars

Now that you say it...I think you're on to something. Today's flight path went right over Timpson, it was just one of the stretches where the site had spotty coverage/data on the chopper. Digging into the time stamps from the points it popped in and out of coverage, it made a roughly 30 minute stop during that stretch over Timpson. Interesting. Screencap below for those curious. Timpson is in the red handdrawn circle. Lines that are dashed black-and-orange are where coverage/date was lost (solid orange means consistent coverage). - Its happening (stadium renovations)
