A story about a pathetic man's downfall [34 Felony Convictions]
Except for the worst of his openly criminal speeches (The Election Night Lie, The Georgia Phone Call, and A Prelude to a Terrorist Attack) and a sense of civic duty to stay informed, I haven’t listened to him speak since the debate fiasco. Life is better when you don’t entertain the truly profane.

Corey Feldman's Rockin Revolution - new album dropped. Anyone got it yet?
1. The lead guitar part to Lethal Lolita has some energy. It’s worth a listen. 2. The prechorus to Lethal Lolita has a bit of a Duck Tails theme song vibe.

A story about a pathetic man's downfall [34 Felony Convictions]
Coup take 2 and here I am bothered by how the article used the word “nonplussed.” From context, I think they mean “not plussed,” which isn’t a thing, rather than traditional definition of bewildered. I’m not sure though; it could go either way and neither really makes all that much sense. I resent that this word has been so damaged and it’s just another terrible American thing.

Carpetbagging weasel faced smarmy little bitch, Ted Cruz
I know it feels good to rip old Ted for his sliminess, apparent lack of American values, and really lack of any coherent belief system at all, but attending the inauguration is the right thing to do. Even if he tries to marginalize the Trump terrorism movement for disingenuous reasons, he’s still helping to marginalize the movement by attending.

A story about a pathetic man's downfall [34 Felony Convictions]
Generally this, but we have a civic responsibility to be generally informed. It’s just that this duty should feel like a bit of a chore. If our news isn’t boring (PBS/AP/Reuters), then it probably isn’t news. Maddow is way less damaging than Tucker or Rush, but it’s still part destructive culture. When Jon Stewart told Crossfire that they were hurting America, he was right in ways that most didn’t ever fathom.

FIFY, but point taken. At this point, anyone still on the Trump train isn’t jumping off.

That perfect song and why it is so
Yeah, Mongolians do it. So do Inuits and a few other traditions. But they don’t do what she’s doing. They’re highlighting overtones in the notes they’re singing. Think of it as extreme Eq using the shape and resonance of the mouth. She’s doing some sort of witchcraft and hitting all of the chord changes. It’s not overtone singing like the Tuvan throat singers. It sounds like some sort of finely controlled growl. I have no idea how, but it’s awesome.

That perfect song and why it is so
I don't know if it's perfect or better than perfect. This is the most unbelievable performance I've ever heard. Lalah Hathaway's vocals are obviously mind blowing, but the band is smoking, and after the polyphonic singing starts up towards the end (she's comping for herself like a keyboard player and hitting all the changes, check out the interplay between her and the organ), the band cranks up the energy and just blows the roof off of the thing. It's cool to see great musicians obviously blown away by each other and collectively raise to another level. Lot's of former UNT kids in this too, so Mean Green represent.

Ap, Reuters, BBC (the news kind), and watch the PBS NewsHour. My only complain with Ap is that their website always tries to get me to sign up for their news letter. It’s moved to the bottom of my reliable news list just due to annoyance. CNN and Fox are good for understanding what the parties are pushing and Newsmax and Oann are good for understanding what kind of unhinged propaganda your parents are consuming.

The Batshit Insane QAnon Conspiracy Theory
I know too many who have just checked out of reality into this horrible, violent fantasy. It’s heart breaking. There’s no reasoning them out of it since their reality is now so malleable. Even if they briefly acknowledge reality, there’s a reset after several minutes. It’s like losing loved ones to drug addiction.

Trump Impeachment 2: Insurrection Boogaloo
I could only listen for about 30 seconds before my blood pressure shot up, but the double standard argument tacitly admits that Trump incited the attack.

Trump Impeachment 2: Insurrection Boogaloo
Cultural divide right here: I’ll never understand the hate for Liz Warren. She’s always clear and understandable and even when she’s wrong, she’s well-reasoned. Maybe I just answered my question.

The US Capitol has been Breached [Action and Developing stories]
I’ll talk you off. They clearly shouldn’t be doing it, but I think the more likely explanation is that they were all almost murdered by terrorists and many of the Capitol police seem useless at best or possibly in on it. I can understand feeling scared and wanting to exert some control and personal self defense by coming armed. Armed debate is obviously a terrible idea even in sane times, but I can understand the sentiment. They all legitimately had a terrifying and traumatic experience — even those who egged it on — so we should expect some extra crazy behavior. Of course that’s just another reason to keep weapons out.

The US Capitol has been Breached [News]
This is a dishonest straw man. Or maybe several straw men piled on top of each other. It’s hard to tell with all of the straw.

The US Capitol has been Breached [News]
I’d say that the terrorists that tried to overthrow the government and their sympathizers now trying to excuse these attacks with straw men and fabricated false equivalencies are most certainly the villains. The great thing is that besides the terrorists and their instigators, all of the terrorist sympathizers can give up their villain status by simply stopping their villainy. They don’t even have to change their views on any particular political hot button or philosophy (unless it involves overthrowing the government), they just have to stop being villains. Stop creating false equivalencies and straw men in support of terrorism and rejoin team America. It’s so easy that I can’t understand why it’s so hard. There are lines that can’t be crossed and this is so far over the line that I can’t fathom the reflexive need to muddy the waters. Comparing the reaction to the George Floyd death — a sad, terrible, destructive, yet completely unsurprising reaction to real injustice — to terrorists and seditionists storming the Capitol, beating a cop to death, and seeking to take hostages because of a constant stream of lies, propaganda, and incitement is impossibly intellectually dishonest.

Do You Enjoy Dynasties in Sports?
There’s a reason beyond cocaine why the 1970s NBA isn’t considered the glory years. Feeling like you have a shot is important, but great teams are fun and memorable to watch. If victory seems more due to chance and luck rather than greatness, I’m not sure why I wouldn’t just watch reruns of Price Is Right Plinko. There’s obviously a point where the dominance becomes so substantial and sustained that you lose interest, but I don’t think we’re there.

The US Capitol has been Breached [Action and Developing stories]
“We’re a republic, not a democracy.” Also, “we the people, not the elites.” To be clearer, the president is actively engaged in this and the platform of one party is loyalty to the president. So, yeah, right now party seems to matter.

So with the go fund me thing, I have a question for the law dogs. What would be me legal exposure if I photoshopped an AI generated face into riot pictures and used those to start a patriot legal defense go fund me? Or would I be better off if I just started ‘Mericans Over Biden LLC to fundraise for unlicensed legal advice for the terrorists. The advice would be get ready for prison and stop trying to overthrow the government, so I think it’s pretty sound advice. There’s lots of money to be made here and skimming money from terrorists and terrorist supporters seems like a public good. I just wouldn’t want to end up on the wrong side of the law and have someone else start skimming money on my behalf.
