interesting. it seems almost impossible for someone to be that terrible at the game...combined with probst doubling down on saying he would cast him again it makes me believe he was an actor.
a fight just about broke out after the game last night because a young guy said something negative about pierce and a bunch of blue hairs went apeshit on him. thought i was about to watch a senior citizen get his ass whipped.
2 moves is not significant reconstruction. add a w in front hoof and then erase an o...whoofarted. goddamn that was tough, i can see how it would be too complicated for your smooth brain to figure out.
let's consider it then:
hoof arted phonetically is who farted.
cat sass phonetically is cat's ass.
i considered it and it's a great example. the band's name was already a joke and then you explained the joke to anyone dumb enough to not understand.
good avice but a bit alarmist. i've hiked plenty of 14ers leaving the trailhead at 9am or later, you just have to be willing to turn around if weather rolls in. i've never started a hike before 7am because fuck that.
Saw this while wandering around the east side during sxsw. Apparently this place existed from 1900-1909. Also found a pic of the inside from the archives.
i was pleasantly surprised by the number of bands from austin that i discovered. made me feel pretty good about the scene here...it ain't dead. previous years it felt like every new band was from brooklyn or LA.
Did the webberville block party yesterday. Exotic Fruitica and Swallow the Rat were pretty good. Saw Alex Maas at coral snake, psychotic reaction at vinyl beauty bar (weird place) and rickshaw billies at king bee. Not sure I have it in me to go out again today.
Red river and east side again yesterday. Saw Luther Dickinson do a live on the internet thing for Paste at coral snake, he makes it look so effortless. Strange Lot, local band, was yesterday's discovery. Their rhythm section was exceptional. Wandered into an alley show and a backyard party. Good scene all around. More people than Thursday but still pretty chill. Didn't wait in any lines.
Bounced around to different places on the east side yesterday. Significantly fewer people than previous years but that's cool with me. Local band Moon Kill was the best new discovery of the day, gave me Kyuss vibes. Fat Dog was pretty fun. Daikaiju is always entertaining.
