Pitt’s freshman RB runs it in from 6-yards. 53-28, 6:59 to play. We should be good now.

Letting N.C. State hang around, 46-28, 11:16 to play. We’ve had four FG drives this half, and one of those was missed. Could have ended it a long time ago. I don’t like our offensive substitution pattern.

I’m stunned that Alabama football has turned into Jam Miller, 6 rushes for 13 yards.

That flipped on a dime. I went out at halftime of our game to the little cafeteria and someone said BYU was being handled.

We are already talking about that. The word from camp that I heard was that he was better than Eli but, in today’s world Eli had to play because he is getting paid a lot. I think there are probably a lot of programs with that issue.

Not that this is some sort of major insider information but, I was told that Hugh was gone tomorrow if Auburn had lost today to Arky.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
I wonder if the talk about private equity firms getting involved deeply into the Big Ten will have an impact on coaching contracts going forward. Do these firms start to lean on schools and make contracts a lot more incentive based? These firms are in the business of making money and increasing equity so I don’t see how giving a guy $50,000,000 to not coach works towards their goals.

Yeah, he looks A LOT better than that.

2025 - 2026 Astros Offseason Thread
As an aside, since it is officially the offseason for all but two teams, I had a brief conversation with Art Howe this past weekend. His niece lives across the street from me and they were having a birthday party for a family member. Howe, former Astros player & manager, was there.

2025 ALCS Mariners vs Blue Jays Fox/FS1
What are you crying about dicknose? The only other place I’ve ever heard/seen “dicknose” was in Teen Wolf. Which we watched today before turning on the games. You made me laugh.

Boy, he got him reaching on that swing.

He’s been one helluva receiver and I don’t really like to see that sort of thing happen.

2025 ALCS Mariners vs Blue Jays Fox/FS1
That’s what I was wondering about. I don’t know enough about Seattle baseball to make an informed comment about their rotation but, what I have seen in this game and the game where Kirby got roughed up it made me wonder.

NFL Week 7 thread of geriatric dominance
The NFL generates so much money now that teams don’t really even have to win. Think of how many visiting fans make the trip to Las Vegas to see their team play the Raiders. And not one of those seats in that stadium is cheap. They haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1983, and I don’t think the son of Al Davis gives even one fuck about not winning.

As a Pirates fan I am used to being pretty neutral during the playoffs.

2025 ALCS Mariners vs Blue Jays Fox/FS1
I’ve been flipping back and forth from the football to baseball. Should they have pulled Woo? They seemed to pull Kirby a bit early this game when they left him in last game and he got rocked.

I was happy to see Pitt Man Erick Hallett making some plays in the secondary.
