The Terminal List
Critics hate this, apparently. But fans of the books are going to like it. Not a literal adaptation but close enough. Tim Riggins is my hero and I will watch anything he's in.

Can we get a San Antonio sub in this forum?
I concede your point but Dallas and DFW are not the same thing. If you look at a list of cities by population Dallas is listed and so is Fort Worth and both are smaller than San Antonio by population. So yeah bigger than Dallas. It just seems strange to not have one for SA but I don't care beyond the initial ask. The thread is fine for me.

Bill Miller breakfast is super solid too. Comes in a little tray with a scoop of refried beans, scrambled eggs, hash browns and either bacon or sausage and two tortillas. The one by me is super cheap about salsa, you have to ask and they will almost always try and short you anyway. Have not been to Jim's in a decade or so. They used to have something called Canadian Cheese Soup that was pretty great.

Enlighten me, please. What should I have searched for to dispel the fact that there is a sub here for Houston Dallas and Austin but not San Antonio? I see some threads about San Antonio. That's not what I asked.

The beef rib from HEB True Texas is shockingly good. Fridays only. All of it, really, is shockingly good for a grocery storefront.

This. The Hangover was the last great comedy and probably will be for sometime, hopefully not forever.

HBO developing Game of Thrones Jon Snow sequel
Yeah they aren't gonna have a problem getting people to tune in initially. It will be appointment viewing for many, myself included. But I would say the show, and franchise, has a considerably shorter leash because GOT S8 was such a shit show.

HBO Max streaming service
I thought it was too slow and probably two episodes too long but I don't regret watching it. Shocking how it turned out, just from the crime scene alone...come on man!

Solasta Crown of the Magister
They have a new campaign out for like $15 and the general consensus is that it is better than the original. I just started playing yesterday. They have also added Sorcerer, Barbarian and Druids as classes (Bard/Druid for $$$, Sorcerer free)

This and The Offer finally making me feel better about my terrible decision to purchase a year of Paramount + because it was half off.

Dragon Age
Origins was great. Very good from scratch lore/setting/etc. Good combat, interesting classes/skills, decent story. Second one was ok but I did not like the combat changes, it was very clearly trying to appeal to twitchy console gamers. Inquisition was fantastic but I personally didn't appreciate the woke bullshit they shoe horned into the relationships. In general I am a big Bioward fan and I am sure I will check this out, I think Anthem is their only game I've never played and its because I have zero interest in the genre. That title seemed very off brand for them...seemed like a money grab TBH.

King Arthur Knight's Tale | Turn Based Tactics CRPG
Turn based tactics CRPG-lite set in an Arthurian setting. Not a lot of games like this one, closest comp that I've played is Blackguards but not a lot of people have played that one. You play as Mordred resurrected to kill Arthur, who is also dead. You killed each other and bad shit happened, undead invasion, etc. etc. You manage Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. You upgrade various buildings in your keep for different bonuses. You can recruit a bunch of different knights but can only have a max of 12 in your roster, 4 on your bench and 4 in your party during a mission though a lot of missions have NPCs join you that you can control. There is an alignment system that has two axis, christian/old faith and rightful/tyrant. You are rewarded for piling on any of those four directions with Camelot perks and/or unlockable missions to recruit new knights alignment specific knights who are often very powerful. Loot is slot based but you never loot new weapons and armor, rather you get runes to add to your weapons and armor that give various perks. You also have a couple of accessory slots per knight restricted by class and a couple of consumable slots. Once you gear up your kit is locked in for the duration of whatever mission you are on. There are 6 classes but no two knights are the same as they have their own alignments, traits and skills that are based on their class but a little different depending on knight. The closer your alignment aligns with your knights the more effective they are in combat. Combat is pretty fun although enemy types are fairly limited. Four difficulty levels...normal is a little too easy hard is fine for the most part but maybe 1 in 10 missions is super fucking hard compared to the rest of them so it can be annoying on hard. Have not played story/easy or very hard. Graphics are little dingy, and the performance is poor for what's on screen. Devs are very active on the Steam forums and if you find a bug you can send them your autosaves and they will fix said bug if they can reproduce it. They also have some free DLC planned. Base game is 50-60 hours, allegedly, I am about half way through. If you like turn based CRPGs this is probably worth a look. If you like King Arthur mythos (I'm not super informed on it beyond the film Excalibur and the Bernard Cornwell books), also probably worth checking out. The studio's previous work is an ARPG set in WH40K called Inquisitor Martyr.

NextGen Consoles: PS-5 and XBox X
Yeah man its crazy. I am primarily a PC guy but I think I have bought every Sony and Xbox generation until this one. I would have pulled the trigger on a PS5 probably a half dozen times since it came out in 2020 but they are never in stock on Amazon and I don't want one bad enough to camp for them the way I did for a graphics card which still took me forever to find in stock at a retailer. I've done the PSN shit where you allegedly get put on a list to buy direct, nothing.
