Baby Saz has been my everyday rye for years. Starting to branch out now that the number of ryes has proliferated but Saz is still the best bang for your buck rye IMHO.
It’s a reference to texags that predates your joining this site in 2018. Long timers may get it - newbies like you - probably not. So internet tough guy - what kind of douche names themselves “thunderlounge” anyway? You should just change it to “Music for Bottle Service”. Hope this doesn’t hurt your feelings. If it does, maybe this site isn’t for you.
True but to be fair those other countries are having more success in fighting COVID because they’re used to fighting these things and able to physically isolate themselves as an island or peninsula. After waves of different viruses over the years, masks, social distancing, contact tracing, quarantines are all pretty much accepted in countries that live in the shadow of China. We have yet to fully adjust to the new reality of global pandemics.
I think you should go to Guam before it capsizes. Lesson learned though - try to post something to help Mach 1 and anyone else who might be thinking about a trip to HI and you get Pooh thrown at you. This place is turning into TexAgs.
When Hawaii reopens it will only reopen gradually to places that have low COVID rates (Japan, NZ, Korea , etc). They dont have hospital capacity for an uncontrolled out break and have to be careful. US doesn’t fit the bill yet. Could be a long wait for them to reopen to tourists. But you’re right, they’re highly dependent on tourism.
I’ve had some really really good ones as I kept going back for more and one here lately that was merely very good that I’ve had no problem finishing. But I guess that speaks to the variability of Single Barrel picks.
Do you like it better than RRSB store picks? Those have been my go to recently and I think you were the one that turned me in to it some months back on this very thread.
Agree with this. If your just starting out, you should probably start with Small Batch and work your way up. I think Small Batch is one of the best $30 Bourbons on the market and would never turn down a pour.
Zhivago is another Lean epic with Omar Sharif - you should definitely watch it. Tell me young padawan have you ever heard of “The Bridge on the River Kwai”?
Dr Strangelove, the Hustler and Maltese Falcon are favorites of mine as well as required Cinema 101 for appreciating the development of such heavyweights as Kubrick, Newman and Bogart.
