Played yesterday and had a pretty decent round. Club was taking all the same precautions as ImGolfn described and overall the course was fairly busy for a Thursday morning. Many folks were walking but I went ahead and took the cart. The only thing we did differently was using a pvc pipe in the hole so the ball sits up versus the inverted cups. With an inverted cup where you only had to hit it I could have shaved off several strokes and shot in the 70s
Nice. I proposed this and my company just laughed. Things might start moving slowly in the next few weeks but I doubt there will be any big deals falling soon. I was in the process of finding a new gig when all this started to unravel but now I might just want to sit tight.
Smoked some wings tonight. About 2 hours on the BGE at ~275. Finished with a Thai chili glaze that turned out great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was just about to revive this thread yesterday. I sell software and all my prospects I’ve been working with now tell me everything is on hold right now. I have a few existing accounts but nothing that is ready to buy. Going to be a rough Q1 and Q2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I seem to remember a few folks having golf trips coming up (Bandon specifically). Have you cancelled/modified those? I have that trip coming late April but at this pace it's unlikely I would want to go but have not yet called to see what the options might be.
A few buddies of mine played at our club yesterday. Nothing in going on inside (food/drinks) but the carts and everything outside (including cart girls) are.
I was already planning on doing this this year and now I finally have the time. Trying to get 3-4 45min rides in per week. Snacking is an issue though since my wife bought everything in sight at HEB this past weekend.
Funny story is I was out there with her a few months ago and there is a porta potty that we do not use for obvious reasons... so when she needed to pee I had her squat behind a tree and a homeless women came up and told me that was nasty... wtf? haha
Did this about 5 years ago and probably added several months back of free time.
So the playground where my daughter likes to go has been overrun with homeless... likely at least 10 there so hopefully the gov't will come arrest them.
Keeping between 230-250. Where I had the temp it showed about 156 at the stall but other areas showed just over 160 when I was wrapping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Microwave's are only built to last a few years these days unless you are getting a high end (~$800) one. When mine went out we wasted some money trying to fix but finally got a new one. I went with a JennAir that doubles as a convection oven for those times that we are looking a lot of things and needed a second oven.
It's a real blood bath out there. I'm still investing in my 401K and I'd like to bump my contribution if I was confident that I might not need the extra cash. I was lucky enough that I had cash sitting in my investment accounts so I'm starting to make buys on stocks that I liked previously but have fallen significantly... mostly tech and a little bit of O&G.
My grandfather who is 101 is still going to the grocery store by himself. I guess he said fuck it. If it’s time it’s time. My dad 70’s is still going to the church craft groups to hang with the other olds against my moms wishes. Greatest generation... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Taking advantage of this extra time at home and smoking a brisket today. I used one of the smaller ~10lb ones from H-E-B which I haven’t done before so will see how it does. So far just 2 hours in I’m at 135 internal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
