FW or Arlington? Arlington location has more parking and better overall 'cue imho.

  3. Exactly! BTW, if Texas had a Kodiak Bear blocking Suh that night in Arlington, Suh would have made a bear rug out of him before the end of the first quarter.
  4. Might be nice to see a Kodiak Bear at guard. Just imagine having a guard that would literally MAUL the defensive player in front of him on a running play. Hell, the defensive player would likely run 10 yards backwards after a couple of those rushes. Downside might be that penalties would increase when the bear didn't stop mauling the player after the whistle blew or worse, if the player died from being mauled like Leo DiCaprio in the Revanant. Wonder what the penalty yardage for that would be and how it would be described? FWIW, being iced in in FW gives you way too much time to consider all of the above.

January 23,2021 @1:30CST I received a call from my daughter in law in California informing me that my son died from a drug overdose. This was a Saturday and because of Covid, our in person meetings had ceased to be held. We did however have Zoom meetings and I was scheduled to chair the 7am meeting that Sunday. Life is full of turning points as we have heard in the meetings, and this was just another of many I have faced in sobriety. The help of a loving sponsor, a fellowship that embraced me and me letting them, and a God of my understanding that helped me choose to continue working the program that had allowed me to have a 21 year relationship with my son gave further evidence to the phrase, Keep Coming Back It Works, IF YOU WORK IT and somehow the journey no parent ever wants to take was one that I did and stayed on the road to happy destiny. I am forever grateful to have the memories I shared with my son (who got sober in rehab at Ls Hacienda) and look forward to the day we are reunited to take up where we left off. Blessings on all of you=hug your kids, loved ones, puppies, and all of those you hold dear to your heart.

Good on you. The barbecue lunch is on me when you get back here.
  8. Parking will not be necessary if the University location food sucks as much ass as the current location on Sycamore School.
  9. Coming soon: Texas A&M@Glen Rose, because size matters.
  10. Nearly empty parking lot after the first month at Sycamore School location. Took the Burger King location there that was vacant for several years.

GOOD JOB Sbbruin. I have a friend on the faculty at UCLA (moved from Fort Worth, my town). When it comes to manufacturing misery and long suffering, that was my MO. I heard a line from Chris Stapleton's song "Whiskey and You" that summed it up perfectly: I drink because I'm lonesome, and I'm lonesome 'cause I drink. That song in it's entirety perfectly describes my first marriage and why it didn't last, but it applies to all of the other people, places, jobs, etc. that were abandoned as well. Keep coming back sir, remarkable things in your life are upcoming.

  17. On rainy days in middle school when we couldn't go outside for PE, our coach ran Humble Broadcasting Network films of SWC games. Kern Tips was the voice of the SWC and long before there were multiple networks broadcasting different games, his voice on the radio was like having a 50 yard line seat in the stadium. This link describes some of his many contributions: https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/tips-kern
  18. Not so fast my friend (Corso's voice). I wouldn't trust the poll voters any more than the CFP selection committee when it comes to doing what is right where Texas is involved. I agree without question that a bowl winning Texas that beat two CFP losing teams in ATM and OU should be ranked above both, hell they should be in the top ten when all is said and done if there is anything correct about these rankings.
  19. Wait for the spring garage sales when they are $1, then when at 75% off you can buy 4/$1 and cut them up to wipe up spills.
  20. We debated between Song,Sung, Blue and Marty Supreme. Glad she won the debate after your report!
  21. TCU actually scored first but Georgia scored 65 unanswered points afterward. Many have said that the Frogs were stealing signs from Michigan sideline and only won because they knew what the Wolverines were going to do both offensively and defensively. Regardless, they still had to make plays and did so to reach the final.
  22. Pro tip-DO NOT hide the liquor in ANY closet as that is where most Conservative Christians have been known to consume mass quantities of said liquid. Pro tip 2-don't forget to hide anything that can be used for sexual purposes including self stimulation. If Catholic, leave any literature in plain sight on bedside table relating to rhythm method birth control. Refrain from any sexual position other than missionary during their visit.
  23. Such a noble boy. Picture of him kissing the baby is PRICELESS and an heirloom for that child. Good boy Ranger-say hello to Callie, Magic, Bailey, and Zeke for me. And you are correct, chewy, the words cannot describe the hole in your soul feeling, but we who have lost a beloved canine kid understand completely.
  24. Looks eerily similar to Kristallnacht.
