Yankees now 6 games behind the Sox. It might be time to start making plans for another wild card game.
Meanwhile the NL Race is nuts. I think the Cubs and Dodgers will safely be playoff teams barring something crazy. Projected wins for other teams (per FG)

Hoping for some September chaos.
Yeah Friday and Sunday were good, entertaining baseball which is all I ask for at this point in the season. Hope Joey’s ankle isn’t too bad and he gets on a hot streak.
Very curious to see what JD and Co have up their sleeves these next 8 days. Getting out of the Choo contract (even if just partially) would be huge for this offseason.
Honestly for this year, Cimber is a great pickup. The Yankees, Astros and Sox are all very right handed heavy and Cimber is holding RH’s to a .207/.221/.261 slash line with an absurd 62% GB rate. He has a great sinker.
Lefties have mashed him though.
Charlie Strong lost to a Kansas team that lost by 18 to Ohio with his job on the line. He would literally have kept his job with a win and he lost anyway.
Next question
Difference is Mejia is blocked by Gomes who is a solid catcher in his own right.
Tucker isn’t blocked by anyone. I think Astros fans would’ve been furious to give him up for 2 relievers.
Lindor and Ramirez are under team control through 2022 though. Plus the Indians are a well run org (9th most wins in MLB since 2000), so I don’t see this as pushing in the chips for one run.
