I've gotten lower bowl end zone behind the band so many times it's part of the tradition, but seems like I got bumped down a bit too. Row13 is getting a little too low for end zone view..
This could be a trivial thing that makes me surly but how long has California did the whole our menu prices are actually 4% higher than what's printed? They had to print new menus to say that so why not just adjust the prices?
We had a fun little trip. Explored the harbor area and Coronado on day we arrived. Coastera for dinner was a fantastic setting with a table right on the edge of patio/water and food was good but I think you're paying more for the setting. 2nd day our leopard shark snorkel did not go very well. The visibility in the water was really poor and the guide couldn't locate them. We did see 2 sharks but it was really mirky. Refunded our money so it was a free crisp swim in the ocean at least. I rode the coaster at Belmont Park and we people watched and had drinks on Mission Beach. Dinner at Monello was pretty solid.
The zoo is massive and pretty impressive. They do such a great job building nice big habitats for the animals that a lot of them are hard to see. I think afternoon is worst time since everything is sleeping.
I will play both but "that stupid fucking line 'em up" game is significantly harder to be good at. I mean there are variations that you just line up and play to get rid of you hand, but that's not what's being discussed here I hope. I believe "fives" might be the common name. My family would call it "straight" dominoes. I have a tough go big family gatherings as there are a few state champions among them (yes, that's a thing).
We went for the baby turtle release this morning. It was kind of lame because they are so small you really can't see them but also pretty cool. Sun coming up and little guys going for hopefully a good life.
I'm only two batches in with my machine but I did vanilla and to mix the chocolate in, melted bar or bar and a half with a double boiler. Then when you're about 3-5 mins from being done, pour melted chocolate in a thin stream into the ice cream. It freezes in the ice cream and creates nice thin shards. Of course if you want bigger chunks, I'd shave the bar.
Perhaps. He came from the restaurant side so was probably mingling with the crew. They didn't call his name or anything but maybe it was just special service. Nobody offered to carry my food to the car for me.
Franklinz' didn't disappoint. Fatty brisket was the best and ribs were quite good as well.
Random but while we were waiting for our order to be put together, chef Roy Choi walks up and is handed a big box of meat. Something tells me he didn't pre-order the same way I did. Probably just texted Aaron.
